He has earned this new contract and to be fair, some kind of parity was needed in his case when the likes of Suarez, Stevie and Johnson were on far higher wages then he was.

He certainly did earn this contract. You can tell that his words are genuine also. Looking forward to having him back on the pitch soon!

Both in terms of how he plays and him as a person. Sturridge seems a genuine person with the attitude of an optimist.

I miss the Torres Bounce & Sturridge needs a song.
      So....

Should just replace the "Bounce in a minute" song with "Dance in a minute"
or the Torres Bounce with the Sturridge Dance

We bought the lad from Chelsea tw*ts
      Sturridge Sturridge
We'll forgive him when he scores like that
      Sturridge Sturridge

It's F***ing hard to rhyme his name
He gets the ball he scores again

      Daniel Sturridge
      Liverpool's goal machine

      Lalalalalalalala
      lala lala

Should be fit to start the game against QPR. I think he was on the cusp of being fit for the WBA game, but BR deemed him unfit so that he wouldn't have to report for England duty. Another two weeks of rehab and training should see him back to 100%. He will just need a few matches to get back to full form and fitness levels.

Anyone else slightly concerned that Sturridge could be forced into playing more of a Suarez role with Balo or Lambert as the main #9?

Last season, Sturridge was more of a #9 with Suarez roaming, but with the roles being reversed for Sturridge, I'm wary of how this will play out for him.

It should take a few games, for Daniel to find his feet. I will be just glad to see him back in the starting line up.

I'd hope come off the bench, if we can't comfortably beat QPR even without Sturridge then God help us!!

If he is fit then I hope he starts. Let him play 45-60 minutes and then take him off. If he isn't fit enough for that then he isn't fit enough to play at all in my opinion....

Reports are that Sturridge suffered a strain during routine warm-up. Best case scenario is two weeks - worst is a month.

Going to carry on struggling for goals for the next few games then.
