      Can't wait for Sunday!!

I don't think we'll see the best in Sturridge for a month though, he's been out a while and will need a few games to get that match sharpness back :( Hope I'm wrong though!!!!

Yeah, but think back to last season. He started the campaign on the back of an ankle injury and with basically no preseason yet he hit the ground running. Let's hope he can do the same thing again this time!!

Barrett - Sturridge pulled out of a training session at Melwood with what is believe to be a thigh strain

      ..... hope this is a wind-up.

      F**k off ya sarcy b***ard :)

Apparently he was crying with a towel over his head when it happened and it is thought to be a recurrence of the same injury so we can expect weeks rather than days.

Part of me thinks you have to feel for Brendan with this luck (and of course Studge) but then you consider the money spent and you think how monumentally we've fu**ed up this summer.

RE: Sturridge. It's the same thigh that kept him out earlier this season. Limped out of training session. Scan results expected tomorrow.

      Looks like it's not a wind-up  :f_wah:

The joke is that our transfer committee had no plan for a new striker even though they knew that 1) Sturridge was made out of glass and 2) Suarez wanted out.

So we're basically without a striker until January. Rodgers will persist with Baloterrible on his own up front we will be mid table by the time Sturridge is fit.

We're actually a mid table team now.

Just have to laugh at this news. So predictable. Now we are left with three mediocre forwards. If we do not replace Sturridge, we will end up in mid table. Our fowards offer us F**k all. There is no changing that.

I know but I expected we'd push up the table with Danny returning and the easy run of fixtures. Not so optimistic now.

Nah he just wanted more money to move and we might have had someone in line to sign up, we'll never know.

As it is I think he should be starting though.

Praying it's something like a precaution but it doesn't seem like it, could quite easily be another month or more on the sidelines.

Sad part is he won't be the same player when/if he comes back. He will constantly be worrying about reinjury I fear. This really sucks. He must be devastated as well. Just another reminder of how last year was our year, everything just came together.  We hardly had to deal with these types of injury setbacks. Also a reminder of how big of a lurch Suarez left us in leaving for sunny Spain.

oh sh*t it never rains but it pours.
We all knew the lad was fragile making it all the more important that they spent big on at least one top striker in the summer.

Don't understand that FL. He left us with £200k worth of wages and £75m to fill his position alone (not Sturridge's also).

We chose to spend £140k wages and £20m of it on 2 players that don't fit, it is not Suarez's fault we just failed completely to get even close to replacing him.

For 200k and £75m we literally could have had our choice of strikers. Cavani/Benzema/Costa, all of them would have signed for that money, we chose not to and we fu**ed up, not Suarez and why you keep kidding yourself that FL I don't get.

That's not fair... They thought long and hard and decided on...

      ...Mario Balotelli!!

I think some sort of bonus is in order!  ;)
