      Yep,  just read this too:

The Telegraph report that “the club’s staff do not know if it will be days or weeks before the player considers himself fit for selection,” but it seems unlikely he will return.

Interesting phraseology that 'considers himself fit', easy to read between the lines on that one imo.

Dom King reporting that he has been available for 384mins out of 1800 in 2017.

He has definitely played his last game no way can this be allowed to carry on.

Our most natural goal scorer and had some boss games for us but there really is no point in keeping a player that only plays a few games a season now, it's a waste of time and money.

What is he on, £150k a week with 3 years left? Seriously, can we see anyone wanting him for 15m-20m + 150k+ p/w?

Also, Wilshere has played 200 games and is 25 years old, where as Sturridge 254 games at the age of 27, absolutely shocking!

personally i think sturridge knows he is moving on.  why potentially injure yourself/ embarass by sitting on the bench and not getting selected.  he just wants to get a transfer and be gone

he has the tools to be a great striker but even if he was the most gifted striker... does us no good if he never plays

good luck lad.  i hope you stay injury free wherever you end up

Klopp and Sturridge downed tools on one another long ago.

Probably stems to the fact that one of the first things he did when he got here was publicly call out Sturridge for being a hypochondriac.  Wasn't the smartest of moves IMO, to publicly infer that about one of his players. Although in the cold light of day there's no getting away from Sturridge's poor injury record either.

Should really have done something about that in Jan, or summer even.

      Oh well.

He's all set for West Ham.

Felt it ages ago myself. Thought Klopp has told him he won't be playing for LFC next Season, pretend your injured so you don't actually get injured and then we can f**k you off in the Summer.

ffs, these numbers dont even account for 2017 where he was injured for the majority of the year so far

does anyone know what he was like as a child to teen growing up? i would imagine if he was this injury prone in the academies, it would mess up his development?

Sturridge is back in training! Wouldn't mind seeing him start vs Watford tbh.

Must admit that's a surprise. Pleased to hear it was a quick recovery, he could certainly help us.

Yes because he is so damned prolific for us isn't he seeing as he mostly just jogs around and refuses to go into a challenge!!

The sooner we get rid of this leach the better, good bloody riddance to him.

Is right Billy, played almost a full game with a broken leg while on about £100 a week.
Studge would have been well sacked in the day men were men.

What do you reckon Redmen: is there a 'cut off point' [number of days injured], where fans start to turn nasty on our own players or do we just wait until it becomes fashionable?

Who triggers the change: your peers, the media?

Surely our medical team decide if a player is genuinely injured or not. If he's not then no 'sick note'.

So unless we are trying to suggest that the company Doctors are compliant in a deceit: it's best to assume the injuries are legit.

An injury prone player may not be what fans want or what the team needs but that is no reason to hate on them, IMO, obviously.

Especially as "injury prone" players are our forte. 🙄

One last  thought; fans turned on Danny Agger and fans have turned on Danny Sturridge... Danny Ings must be shitting it. (Unless the 'rules' are that you have to have played regularly for the first XI before incurring the 'Wrath of Fan') 😁

I don't think it is a problem with a player getting injured but when a player goes nearly 2 seasons and hardly plays because of injury then we have a problem.Lets face we have attracted a number of sick notes over the last 10 years or so and that is unfair to the clubs supporters.

Aye Bill... I said as much in my post mate. 😎

"Two seasons" eh? Fair enough - get rid by all means but turn nasty? As I say Danny Ings must be shitting it. 🙄

Nothing against Sturridge, but if he'd been working in the NHS, he'd have been sacked with his sickness record.
