      Would love it, too, mate.

I'd love him to surprise me but I just can't see him being fit, for long, at all. The lad's made of glass.

A sad reality isn't it. You can always hope that things might be a bit different but looking historically at the situation I guess that would just be delusional. At best, you hope that whatever injury he has isn't a serious one that rules him out for months.

Saying all the right things and evidently he is showing it on the pitch. Klopp is clearly happy too.

This could be the shock 'signing' of the Summer.

Sturridge looks like he is up for it. Only thing that can stop him now is injury, and we all hope for the best there. Seems to be a matter of luck. Got to be patient even if he does get struck down again.

Only time will tell.. Good luck Danny!

Imagine a full season of Stu without injury?

      Neither can I.

Don't bother getting your hopes up, it's not 'luck' at all. He's crocked. Will be out for 6 months before you can go trick or treating. I'd like to be positive and all 'Good luck Danny!' but I don't see any point at this stage.

Let's not be too harsh on Sturridge, part of it is Liverpool's fault for not getting him the right gear.

      This would do.

Stu will not be sold this window.

Hopefully he stays intact for the season.

Apparently he's been playing deeper during preseason, kind of like a #10, and allowed for a partnership with Keita. Perhaps this is the route we'll go if no Fekir-type player is brought in. During preseason he's been sitting next to Keita in the locker room, maybe by design from Klopp to allow the partnership to develop?

I wonder if being at West Brom made him realise he can't get higher than where he is now and made him far more appreciative of where he is and what he has with us? Perhaps that is the reason why we have seen such a sharper and fitter Sturridge? His declaration of love for us was a surprising too! I don't recall him saying such things last few years!

He has a wonderful touch and great vision but his pace has gone and I just cant see him doing much with us in the future.
Sadly he hasn't been able to prove to Jürgen he is worthy of a regular spot and injuries have been so cruel to him that his futures isn't looking good. I would love it if he proved me wrong.

All the positive stuff coming from the club around Sturridge would suggest we are not getting Fekir.

That a peculiar deduction to make, don't they play different positions?

The record signing of Alisson might be something to do with a reluctance to part with more dosh.

Some would say the priority  for a credible keeper overrides all, improving both areas of play would be the ideal,  obviously we cannot afford that concept.

Had a breakdown in communication regarding knee & fee not happened Fekir would have joined last month, so your argument money is not there is a non starter..

Unless you are suggesting the club dressing up Fekir in a red jersey & PR stuff was just a hoax?.

They do but look at the positions Sturridge has been playing during these friendlies.

OK maybe but that doesn't mean we are not still pursuing Fekir. I personally still think we will get him, IF, we want him and its that if which it the big question, because we clearly wanted him, he wanted to come to us and Lyon want to sell him. I think its just a case of renegotiating a bit with Lyon and it seems that they are blinking first here.
