4 month ban seems excessive, can be racist like Casilla and only get an 8 game ban. Priorities are all wrong with the FA.

He wasn't "betting on himself in matches", he informed a family member of a potential transfer (which never even ended up happening) - please read up on the actual issue before you go off on one

Seems over the top to me the length of the ban especially when you consider punishment levels for racism
The Leeds keeper recently gets found guilty of racially abusing a fellow player and gets an 8 match ban and a fine 20% of Sturridges
8 matches and 20% of the fine ( he can still train etc at Leeds) for that, against a world wide football ban for the rest of the season for apparent information that neither he or his brother actually placed a bet on

Now that we're free of all the EU shackles we should be able to bring back public hangings. I think that would be a fair punishment for Mr Sturridge, and should send out a strong message to anybody else who is thinking of sending a WhatsApp to their own brother

This seems a weird situe, told his brother he might move to sevilla, then his brother never bet on him going to sevilla, but hes still found to have breached some rules.

Good on sturridge for cancelling his contract, some players would have sat and taken the wages for rest of season.

He is but if I'm in charge of recruitment at some Premier League clubs I'm looking into taking Sturridge on even if it's a short term deal.

The guy is a born goalscorer and the big clubs might not take the chance but there should be at least 14 clubs showing on interest in my opinion.
