Gave Luis man of the match but you could make an argument for anyone in red tonight!

Only thing that really swayed it for me (apart from 2 goals and a quality assist) was the fact that in the 90th min Suarez was still playing like it was 0-0 in the first half. His hunger, determination and energy are endless. A joy to watch him play football.

As I said earlier Gerrard MOTM for me.

Luis was great but Stevie had his best game of the season for me and was excellent.

Like QPR , Sunderland were well below par, but you can only beat whats put in front of you, & I think its more a case of us making them look sh*t for the majority of the match. Really hope this gives the lads some confidence. We truly do play some fantastic stuff when we're in full flow.

Too many good things to talk about.Suarez...nuff said.Henderson wow,Stevie G "back"Johnno shift +++,the rest very very good. That could possibly be the best we've played this season.
Just a little word for Sunderland.Although completely outplayed, they did try and compete to the end.IBRWT

Great result... love Suarez's heart! Looked like he was gonna murder Suso for not feeding him in! Love it!

Great play all round! That my friends is how you close out a game of footy!

Downing and Hendo are clearly benefiting from the sports psychologist! Lovin their work!

Oh and this performance is exactly why I hated the overreactions to Aston Villa and Stoke.

Seasons are much more than individual games, individual performances.

For every Aston Villa and Stoke, there's a Fulham, QPR and Sunderland. You have to look at the whole picture, and for us, the picture is looking pretty good. 9 out of 12, just 7 points from top 4, with reinforcements on the way. Sounds good to me.

I went for Luis - he made one and scored the other two but the skipper was great and Hendo was a threat with his positioning and passing. Credit to Downing and Pepe too and....finally....well in Joe Allen in a more advanced role.

I agree that Gerrard had a great game mate, I went for Suarez but could just as easily voted for Stevie.

Voted Suarez as MotM, thought Gerrard pushed him close and almost gave it to Stevie out of guilt but just for the sheer quality it had to fall to our Luis, I just can't get enough!

Superb performance. Best of the year ;)

Although Suarez got the two goals, I gave my MotM to Gerrard.

He was immense. He was the Gerrard of old with the Xabi passing-range added in. I've never seen him play that well.

Excellent performances all across the pitch tonight. Suarez was once again the top man for me, his incessant movment and creativity makes everythign else happen and Gerrard was not far behind him. I thought downing had another excellent game and young Henderson put in back to back performances for teh 1st time in a long time. Wisdom was solid on his return to the side, Lucas got more minutes under his belt and I thought both Joe Allen and Suso equitted themselves well when they came on.

Also, it probably ducks under the radar a bit but Pepe looks close to being back to his best for me. Safe hands, excellent distribution and a couple of good saves from him tonight.

Given that we've got away fixtures at the mancs, Arsenal and City in our next 4 games it was all the more important to win tonight. If you offered me 7 points from the next 4 i'd take it right now!

Not gunna lie, I honestly thought we would go into this game and F**k it up like we did against Stoke when we had battered someone the game before. Really glad it wasn't the case and can't really fault anyone, our easiest game of the season. Henderson done himself no harm but his passing did get very sloppy around the time he was taken off and Skrtel was caught flat footed and gave away too many cheap fouls but other than that, brilliant.
Suarez' awareness is top class with his passing, movement and all round performance. Was great to see Gerrard control the game throughout. Dominated every area of the pitch today. 3 wins and 3 clean sheets out of the last 4 games, keep this going lads!

Great performance and nice to see some nice early long balls when 'it's on'.  Quick, pacy passing and movement for most of the game.

Much tougher tests to come but that was encouraging.  :)

Jordan Henderson MOTM, purely because i feel the man of the match award should be given to a player who play above their expectations and he certainly did. Suarez, of course, was special as ever. Gerrard looking better, interesting too see if he can play that well next week against ushited.

Was thinking the same thing meself, particularly in the first half. Whilst I prefer us to play with inverted wingers in this system, having Sterling play on the right means you have a better out ball when the oppo are playing a higher line and looking to press. I think we'll see more of this with Sturridge in the side during the 2nd half of the season.

To add to this, he played 88 passes all game with 92% of them finding their target. Amazing.
