Decent line up. Downing has been playing ok, just needs to up his game a bit. Would have liked to see Suso on the bench.

Downing again... Impossible to hide the disappointment. Nice to see Sturridge starting though.

But with Sterling in need of rest and Borini not fully fit, it's a bit of a needs must situation. Would rather have seen Suso, even playing wide, personally

If we had another left winger with any bit of fight in him, Downing wouldn't be getting a look in.

I'm still happy enough with that side. Good options on the bench if needed too.

Sterling has had quite a bit of rest lately ... 70 mins rest against Fulham, 45 against Stoke, 34 against Sunderland and 29 against United.

Played 272 minutes out of the last 450.

Downing on the other hand has played 616 minutes of the last 630. I think it is him that needs a rest and it is showing, he has been sh*t!

Not saying Sterling shouldn't be rested because of how young he still is but I just think Downing should be nowhere near the starting line up. Would rather have Robinson left back and Johnson RW than Downing in the first team.

I agree Walton, Carra's days are numbered so let's all enjoy seeing a true legend plying his trade once again, ok milk can probably turn quicker but his vast experience and defensive leadership is priceless, Brendan believes he can do a job V the canaries and I do to, so leave the Carra's bashing out , I say and have some respect, sometimes I really wonder about our so called fans !!

Assuming being a neutral supporter, the inclusion of Carra and the exclusion of Skrtel suggests that we may have taken Norwich aerial threat lightly while their movement of the ball on ground is fluid. No disrespect to Carra, he must be faster in the last few yards.

In midfield, I'd hope to see Shelvey than Hendo with his pin-point passes to the front line with a bit more bite. As usual Downing will most probably shine against lesser teams but goes missing against top teams.

As you've said, we shall see. I'm just not comfortable that's all, not forgeting Norwich has improved quite a fair bit since the last we play against them.
