He's starting to do it every week now, home and away. My only criticism of him has been that he would go missing a lot, particularly away from home.

Playing hardball with players isn't the done thing these days and can backfire with future transfers. If we want to keep him the answer is simple. Win things.

I'm Brazilian and i can tell you that people who think that Brazilian players are desperate to play in La Liga are working with stereotypes.
Brazilians want to play in the biggest scenarios.
In the 90s every player would choose Italy, then Spain, now the people here rate EPL higher, then even if a player is not getting CL, still they will accept him in the NT.

I hope so he has really upped his level this season playing with his samba team mate.

One of his issues in the past has been his goal scoring but this season seems to have improved on that level, if he keeps it up and gets to the 15-20 goals a season player then that in my opinion will propel him to a level just behind the likes of Neymar.
