Hopefully it was just a serious concussion, Klopp said that Couts was feeling better at HT.

      What?
      Genuinely lost for words.

I mean apart from the fact it was his ankle, a serious concussion lands a player straight in hospital (or anyone else for that matter) for 24-48 hours observation as a minimum.

George, can I have some of what you're smoking please.

Much better than I'd feared but he'll still miss a lot of games in that period, time for the other lads to step up in his absence.

Get well soon Cou and come back in the same form, he was playing so well.

This is Anfield saying he could be back for the munt match on the 15th January.

He has no chance of being back in the team for this time next month. The injury itself will see him out for more than that and then he has a Klopp style training regime to go through before the manager is confident enough to play him. I think we're looking at late January rather than mid-January.

Yeah I agree. I feared that it'd be March at least till he came back so this is as good as I can realistically expect given the fears.

Just as we're starting to look a little jaded and short of ideas we lose our magician.

      Ain't that the truth.

Probably no need to panic (just yet) as we have a few 'easier' games before January and Lallana may be back sooner rather than later but it certainly goes to show you how quickly things can go against you.

In the interim we might see Jürgen use Firmino in Coutinho's role and Origi in Firmino's; what do we reckon?

Could be a good shout that , don't think Origi will let us down , could also be a chance for Danny to force his way back providing he ain't out as long as Phill .

How does that work out though? Not only would that be 2 weeks ahead of the expected date of his injury comeback but it'd also mean he has very little - if any - training to get back up to fitness or for them to check the ankle out while playing.

His CV should not be a problem using anti gravity treadmill, swimming, and bike etc. He himself will know how his ankle is feeling with the physio's slowly increasing the load and range of exercises asked of him during rehab.

I reckon you could be right Mouse, Cou is a blow but not the end of the world, we will adapt and adapt very nicely,
Bobby in for Cou is probably the natural way go, and with Divock up top is ideal,

We seen what he's capable of before so no reason he won't get back to where he was before injury, Klopp prefers him to Studge because of his movement and how he attacks the oppo,

Well miss Cou for sure but I don't think it's the disaster some believe it is, this is football, these things happen,
Now imagine if we continue to brush teams aside and March through the supposed 6 weeks of Cou's sabbatical, what a boost it would be when he makes his return,
Make no mistake ppl,  we're right in this title race, other sides will have CL to contend with the arse side of Feb, so no need to panic Mr Manwaring's,, Klopp's not a 'stupid' boy.

      Get it up ye

Do you think we'll see a change of formation now with Coutinho being out?

There's no immediate obvious LM to come in to that formation and do the job Coutinho does. Unless we put Firmino out there and Sturridge down the centre?

Or Lallana on the left, Sturridge in the centre and Firmino in behind.

It will be interesting to see what Klopp does now
