Obviously Suarez would naturally end up swapping with Sturridge and just generally have more of a free role than the others but I think this could be quite an effective line up. Much like we played under Rafa with the 4-2-3-1 which we were effective with.

If and when Coutinho comes in it should be for Downing for me.

Henderson has been playing too well and is an important part of our pressing game so Coutinho would start in one of the wide positions for me.

Now I might be the only one but I'd still start the next game as we did against City with Downing and bring Coutinho on sometime in the second half.

Really? He got a goal and caused them all kinds of problems as well as played some cracking passes - most notably the one through to Sturridge in the first half. As the game went on he looked a bit more tired but as I said he would probably be swapping with Sturridge and have more of a free role than anyone else.

Henderson is poor when played out wide though so that would be an issue.

This would be my preferred line up for when Coutinho does actually play. Coutinho obviously doesn't have to remain out wide, the front 3 will change a hell of a let throughout a full 90 minutes.

I've been a big fan of Cou for a while, and I just don't think he has enough defensive ability or workrate to play in that position.  I think he will either be deployed out wide in a front 3, or in behind the lone striker.  He can be utilized in the #10 role so that Suarez or Sturridge can have a game off to rest their legs. 

Have to agree with what Si said though.  Stick with the team that we put out against City for the WBA game.  Make Cou, Borini, Suso, Sterling, Shelvey, and Skrtel all earn their places in the 1st team with their efforts in training!!

At times we've almost been playing a 4-2-4 this season, especially when attacking. Hey it works for me on FIFA so why shouldn't it work in real life

Looking forward to being at Anfield on monday night and seeing him make his debut, sure to get a tremendous  reception from the Kop.

I think he'll be on the bench on Monday and will probably only get 10-15 minutes knowing Brendan.
