Our record without him this season is pretty damn good. Get £100M for him and get a new keeper, defender and Keita early

RBL are not going to let Keita leave early...you can make book on that

Trade! If Barca still wants him, then let them give you someone in exchange, e.g. Suarez plus 20 Mio. €. I'd do this trade.

      2017-18 LFC Competitive games

      Without Coutinho P7 W5 D1 L1 (71% win)

      With Coutinho P9 W2 D5 L2 (22% win)

Think I'd expect more impact from a £130M signing?

Meant to post that the other day JD.

I do think he distorts our set up - great players often do but.......

Is it just me that thinks hes not really that good.
Don't get me wrong hes a very good player but he comes up short if you compare him against the creme in my opinion (Hazard, De Bruyne).

Barca and apparently PSG think highly of him, maybe they are of the opinion that surrounded by quality team mates he can really shine.

He is very good in our team so how good would he be in a better team, phil's figures compare very favourably to hazard

I never have the feeling he's going to change a game and do something special like I did with Stevie, Torres or Luis.

Not sure if that's what you are talking about though.

I'll trust my own eyes rather than stats over such a small sample of matches. Coutinho is our best player, along with Mane.
If we sell him, we'll miss him. We shouldn't sell until/unless we've got a replacement lined up, which isn't likely to be until the summer ( if we're lucky, knowing FSG). So Barca and PSG can wait.

      PSG or Neymar? :p

Anyway, I do hope we sell him for 120m+ and end up using that money to buy 2 exceptional players, players such as, Jorginho and VVD.

Entirely fair enough.  He's a very good player.  I was just pointing out that we haven't won 7 of the 9 games he's played in.  Of course it's a team sport, there are 10 other players to have good games or sh*t games - just thought it was interesting to point out that for a player supposedly valued at £130M he doesn't seem to have a transformative effect on Liverpool's actual results.

He can be up there with the likes of Iniesta, Thiago, Isco etc, but why isn't he? How many times have we seen him do the job of Hendo's where he is dropping in to dictate from deep? And when played in midfield, why do we need him to interchange with Hendo or Wijnaldum/Can where we will see him as the deepest lying midfielder covering defensively? Combination of unsuited tactics and average players perhaps is the reason why we seem to struggle with him, and/or why he is stagnated as a player for us.

There is no doubt once Coutinho moves to a bigger club, he will notch it up a level or 2 because there are far better players than what we have in midfield and defence which would lead to less defensive work and better possession play. As much of a c**t he is for doing what he did, I can understand why he wants to f**k off.

Of course he has, but he is not even near to the kind of player Gerrard or Luis were in terms of winning a game singlehandedly. Phil still needs the team to be playing fairly well to create the openings for him whereas Stevie and Luis could score goals out of nothing.

If offered £130 million rip their bloody hands off, for that amount we can buy some players which are much more important to our current team than Phil is, for starters a top notch goalie and central defender.
