I can't remember him touching the ball last night! Confidence is well and truly shot to pieces. I don't actually bare him any ill will because he was a cracking player for us for a number of years. I think he might be one of the heads to roll after this. Would anyone take him back at a reduced fee I wonder?

I'd be willing to take him back if:

           - He admitted that he was wrong to leave LFC, and that the way he went about it was immature and disrespectful
           - He apologized to Klopp, the players, the staff, and the fans
           - He tells Barca that he won't sign for anyone other than LFC because he needs to atone for his sins against us
           - We get him at a reduced fee -- nothing over 70M
           - He walks naked through the streets all the way to the Red Keep while being whipped and shamed.....

He had one shot that Allison handled easily.

You could easily see that he wasn't up for it. Anfield scared him....he had nothing for us and I'll guarandamntee that he is second guessing his decision to leave at this point.

I would have dis-agreed with you... until I saw your last point.

He truly wasn't. That shot on Alisson, he could have easily tucked it in far post as he had a wide angle and totally bottled it. In about the 15th minute Barcelona had 2 players wide open on the left and instead of shooting decided to pass to the middle where the ball got intercepted. Not sure if he was involved in that poor decision but given it was on the left side of the field makes me think he could have been. Just a very poor performance.

Seen a few articles that Coutinho will be the first man to get the axe in the summer.

Well, there you go. Thanks for Alisson and Van Dyke anyway. Wouldn't be surprised to see him at scum, especially when Barca will be looking to get half of the money back.

Highly doubt this happened, but it would be hilarious if it did.

He seems to have lost his way at Barcelona. Not good enough for our present side, to say the least.

Really says a lot about this team and how far we have come since his departure that I think we would actually be going backwards in terms of quality if he returned. He’s not played well since the day he left, that is 18 months of being in and out of the team and playing crap, he may never recover from that, we could bring him back to the club and his Barca form could continue with us.
There’s one person responsible for Coutinho seeing his career go down the pan and that’s himself.

I remember Klopp once saying that he doesn’t look to work with players he has previously worked with, I think it was around the time Aubamayang was leaving Dortmund, obviously Gotze is the exception but how much we actually pushed for that move we will never know, so the odds aren’t in Coutinho’s favour on a return to the club. He’s burned his bridges with Klopp, Klopp told him he will be nothing special should he leave the club and he’s been proved right, why would he waste his time going back for a player that didn’t want to hear what he had to say and showed no respect for the club with his transfer requests and faking of injuries, doubt Klopp has any time for him at all.

Like Owen when he was at Madrid, you can bet your house on him regretting the move and wishing he never left.

he fu**ed off knowing we would be short of a striker that's what did it for me.

      Coutinho - “Prodigal son”

      Swap Asensio for Mane.
Must have been a slow day for the transfer rumours, thought it was July 1st, not April 1st.

Not sure of the Details but won't we lose out financially if he moves on to another club. Maybe it would actually be a good deal for us to take him back I know Jürgen really rated him but its 50-50 for me.

Dont know if we have some sell-on, but surely if Barca sell they still owe us every penny of the deal (no club should budget for bonus money if that's what you mean, it's too uncertain).

But as for him returning, no, no, a thousand times no.

Who cares? that wouldn't stop the team from getting Phil back if that's what they wanted, though hope that's not the case because all that snake deserves is to look at from afar and go

      Oh that's not good.

I suppose they will spin it as Griezemann "bought" it from Coutinho or something.

Doesn't seem like Coutinho is much longer for Barca.
