Exactly Si, if Utd had done that the media would be creaming themselves about it.

If Utd had done that on TV they'd change the programme schedule so they could replay everything again and again.

Not putting a downer on it all is he? He's just being an adult about it and realises, due to games were we have done well this season, that we need to carry this on.

Its the start of hopefully a good run.

Great win, clean sheet, five goals, five different goalscorers and three points. Great day.

But if we don't kick on and learn from previous mistakes, at the end of the season it will merely be a 'W' in between a load of 'L's and 'D's.

Must use it as a start and not an achievement.

That's not the point I was making. I see everyone being "adult" about it on here it's just that it's pointless to insinuate that today's victory was in part down to Swansea making changes. I don't care. I have faith that on that performance alone we would have beaten them comfortably changes or no changes. It was a case of us playing very well and not a case of them playing badly.

If Utd had done that on TV they'd change the programme schedule so they could replay everything again and again.

The BBC would F**k the schedule off right now and play MOTD2.

Delighted with the result and our performance. Suarez was again outstanding. Sturridge missed a few chances but put his penalty away well and set Enrique up nicely too.

Thought we lost our way a little after Coutinho went off (took our foot off the gas) but we could have still added a couple more goals with a bit more composure.

Thought the pre match thread was like a funeral, this one has turned into a procession after such a good display from the boys.

Well, that was a performance I wasn't expecting but absolutely fantastic to see the lads going about their business with such flair and creativity and confidence.

Such a pleasure to see Phillipe show no fear and just play his normal game.  He didn't freeze at all and took his goal well.  Always good to get a debut goal at Anfield.

Can't wait to watch motd now  :scarf:

Dropped his shoulder in the 18 yard to make space for a shot that squirmed under Vorm - a shot the keeper should have done a lot better with. So good movement, but he really shouldn't have given Vorm any chance whatsoever

He played well though, even though he missed a great chance in the first half, he was good

Funny game football. If we hadn't netted the pen who knows what would have happened, perhaps a repeat of the WBA game. But we did and we went on to kill the game off. Basically when we bury a respectable amount of  the chances we create we can run riot. When we don't we can come a cropper.

Struggling to remember a better team goal from the past few years. Great intricate play and the movement is just perfect especially from Sturridge.

To me that shows the progress we are making. We have the ability and the system is working but we aren't consistent yet. We are def getting there though

First and foremost a big well done to the lads.  You done us proud.
Now my 2 cents on the match.
Like I said in my previous post.  This result is irrespective to me had we won, lost or drawn.  The objective was to get 3 goals without conceding.  2 pens so 3 goals from open play. Excellent! although I was a bit cheesed that Swansea rested 7 players.
Now my worries were in the 44th min lapse of defending error defending set piece.  Had it been repued striker; bang Zenit gets it in 4 goal to score bad very bad.  Get it sorted.
Big positive, always good to be going into next match with a confidence booster.  Loved the commentator mention towards the end, "They've (swansea) been WALLOPED"!  Music to my ears if they said it again IF we overrun Zenit.
Next up would be getting everyone shooting practices both from open and close play.  Glen focusing especially on his shooting.  He has all the foundations to be a legend.  Hear me Glen its true, don't be cheesed with me, I know its easy for me to sit and type in here.
Lastly, out of the box scenarios.  Going man down early?  What tactics to win without conceding.  Opponent going man down how to do a demolition job on them instead of producing a huff n' puff variety.
In closing its been hard to judge Liverpool's frailties as we were never under pressure from a poor Swansea side having one eye on the cup final.  So again this should not let by go unnoticed by concerned department tho we kept a clean sheet.
I don't have a HT but from my TV set the fans atmosphere did improve and had to improve cos we did bang in the goals.  but still not upto the mark.  The zenit fans were bludy intimidating.  Major improvement needed in this front.  Positivity breathes positivity.

Oh and 1 more thing.  Hope Borini is Ok. We need him.  MEDICS!!!   MEDICS!!  Wounded man here.  get him fixed, straight into practice trying to score goals from open play with agger, skertel, Carra giving him a right rough time without any damage to him  >:D
