Travel from Liverpool to Manchester after the Zenit game

Hey guys,

Is there anyone on here who is driving from Liverpool to Manchester after the Zenit game? I'm down in Manchester and staying in a hotel near the airport on Thursday night as I have work there early on Friday morning but I will not have my car so it's a total nightmare. Taxis are too expensive and if the game goes to extra time, it doesn't look like there are any trains that late...

Would be pretty lame to have to leave at full time if it goes to extra time. I would literally die a little inside I think.

Anyone doing the drive who wouldn't mind me popping along? Or anyone got any suggestions for a cheap method of travel which would get me back into Manchester?

Bus leaves the airport 23.50 to get to Manchester.

I think it stops somewhere near Picadilly station from memory as I've used it once before.

I'll take you to Manchester airport.  I will be going back to Thelwall so it's not much further.

Hmm, would be a good option but there's a train from Lime Street to Picadilly at 23:38... If the game goes to extra time I'd never make it! If anyone knows of any supporter's buses etc. that may be a good option. shawspeed I may take you up on that...!
