Who should replace Carragher as vice captain ?

I can see some sense in offering the vice to Suarez it may sway his decision if he was given more responsibility he would probably calm down a little, but i fear it could be to late for it to become reality, i would be more inclined to offer it to Lucas, Agger for me is not the kind of player who is vocal on the pitch also he is to prone to injury, ok i know Lucas has been out injured to but not to the extent of our Danny.  YNWA

We have a very quiet team not many natural leaders like Jamie. Not sure if any of them have what it takes.

I think Lucas or Agger. Lucas is a great club man and offers commitment and positivity. Agger equally loyal and good performer.

One of them should be rewarded.

Was about to post just that. Keep reading comments about him being vocal and a leader. Be a bit of a kick in the balls to Agger or Lucas with Toure only just coming in though.

Not sure offering the vice to Toure would be flavour of the month in the dressing room, messers Agger and Lucas would more likely to be extremely pissed, and the last thing we need right now is ructions between players, especially he back 4/5, keep it simple and offer it to the right candidate, usually longest served or who would have a bigger influence. YNWA

It's got to be Agger, Lucas would obviously deserve it too for his service but he seems quiet and sometimes you hardly know he's playing.

Agger would be a superb vice captain.  And I think it could improve his performances.

Lucas would deserve it too though, but it seems he won't start every game next season unfortunately.

Disagree, Lucas in the last couple of seasons has become a right mouthy c**t towards refs. And is always the first to back up any of our players on the pitch, more so than our actual captain at times. Far from quiet these days compared to when he first came to the club.

And he does the dirty job ala Mascherano too. I loved seeing them together, Mascherano was the mentor and he always argued with the ref when Lucas made a foul! It was just great. Today Lucas has become the boss in the midfield IMO, and he deserves the vice-capitaincy but I don't know if he will start now that Allen is back. Unless we play as such:

Coutinho     Suarez        Sturridge
 
             Allen         Gerrrard
                     Lucas

Couldn't have said it better. Either way I wouldn't be disappointed. It is a good "problem" to have.

I could see Kolo becoming Vice Captian lead from the back Vast Experience . Also think he will play more games than we think he will .

When he came on against Melbourne he got the armband straight off Lucas. That removed all doubt about who it would be for me. Him leading the group with Steven also said a lot.

Stevie backs up players but does it more through his play. I think it was City where he made a pretty robust challenges after Sterling had been getting fouled. Not the first time he has done that either
