So F***ing happy with that win.

Played like crap, constantly giving the ball away - still won.

This is how it should be boys!! ;D

Buzzing after that. We've beaten a good team who were on a good run. Finally we beat a team above us.

Has to be Luis for my MOTM.

Superb match from Downing, not so much because of his goal (it was well taken but not the most difficult of chances ;D), but he's done his job wonderfully. Some great passes and a Dirk Kuyt like performance running up and down the right side. My MOTM.

I second that. Fantastic performance and work rate from the lad. No doubt there will still be people on here later slating him though, there's always something to slate him about

      Yes!

I have criticized Rodgers' substitutions in the past but he must be given a lot of credit for the turnaround in this game.

I'm not saying Allen has done wonders when he came on - though he was solid -, but from a tactical point of view, it made a lot of sense.

Our wide men were coming too deep to compensate for our midfield being too wide open. When Allen came on, that allowed our attacking players to put real pressure on them and that led to us gaining control of the match and our fluky equalizer.

I'm quite possibly one of Downing's biggest critics in here but he was great today.
If he plays like that more often, I'll be tattooing his name on my forearm.

Just improvement isn't enough... playing to that level on a consistent basis would be great.

      Get in!!!

Finally we've got some luck.  They outplayed us but we deserve some wins like that... we outplayed City and Everton away and loss points because of errors... now it's our turn to take advantage of some errors.

Suarez making more friends I see.   :lmao:

Loosing all my fingernails. Well done lads. We marked tighter, tackled harder and closed them down faster in the second half.

      FANTASTIC RESULT !!!!!

I thought they played well front and back. Some mistakes here and there. Lucas seemed a bit off at times but overall the entire team played to win and we got 3 points.  Well done.

I'll be honest mate, I don't think Downing has been "great" recently as some say. It's true he has improved but improvement from being non-existant is not really that much. He's become a decent player but still not the player I wanted in that position.

Today, though, he was brilliant. Covered so much ground and played some real quality passes... Sturridge should have done much better with some of them.
