Is it wrong that I feel a bit disappointed? It took a howler from their keeper, and we had a penalty. I can't help but feel we were let out of jail. More so if feels like the howler from Llorys let us off a very big hook.

I hope Rodgers realises that we are a much bigger threat when we continue to play the way we played before we scored. Keep at them, give them something to worry about.

Brad Jones, more than his nervousness, his inability to find a red shirt from his boot, constantly put us under pressure

I was very disappointed with Sturridge, but still, we know what he can do. And Glen Johnson, how many times did he give the ball away?

Suarez, fantastic, again, and he must be a nightmare to play against

Thought Lucas started slowly but was in full flight by the end

And without doubt, Gerrard was motm hands down, a brilliant game

Even Downing had a good game, marauding down the wing

But more than anything, we beat Spurs and Rodgers gets one over on Villas Boas

AVB has to eat the humble pie. Never be too cocky and try to finish us off. Need to learn to be humble, back to hearbreak lane to lick their wounds. Looks like he and sigurdsson should have joined us.

What a result that was! Some might say that Spuds threw that away but I disagree. They shouldnt have had the 2nd cause it was never a foul. We defended so badly and its still a big concern, but what a 3 pointer that was!! Head is bruised internally from all the shouting.

Downing continues to improve
Suarez was immense
Gerrard was great
Allen played well when he came on.... worked hard
Johnson went forward well but could of done better defensively
Enrique didnt have a great game apart from the super ball to Suarez
Sturridge was poor.... But hopefully thats down to fitness
Coutinho still looks the part

No mate you're not wrong, they outplayed us most of the game.  We won this time but if we keeping parking the bus like that we won't win all the time.  Rodgers needs to get his act together and fast.

Wonderful result. When we were 1-2 down it still all seemed possible; i think thats the difference with the team since the close of the winter transfer window - improving all round and 1-2 down does'nt present a problem to come back from.

I think 'parking the bus' is an exaggeration, but we really have dropped too deep after we score the 1st goal of the game, and it has cost us points.

I do think Allen coming on changed that though, before that we were outnumbered in midfield and it made Downing and Coutinho drop too deep when Spurs had possession.

Amazing win. Truely the mark of a confident team to come from behind and win....not to mention against arguably one of the most in form teams in Europe at the moment.

Had 3-2 myself mate, only £5 on it but still happy with it £115 returns, yours kicks mine out the park though. Often think of putting Luis as first scorer too to bump it up but oh well a win is a win and some stake for Cheltenham.

Totally agree with Diego, think that's the best I've seen Downing play for us and was right up there for MotM today. I've also been one of his biggest critics but I wouldn't have a single groan with him today, fantastic lad.

Luis was simply Luis, brilliant and really did show Sturridge what he's missing in his game. Has to work harder, lazy is exactly right, hopefully just coming back from his injury but that wasn't good enough. Johnson was also very poor, think he's going through a slump at the moment.

Hopefully Pepe's injury is only minor too because I was terrified every time Jones was involved.

Thought Stevie G was solid as a rock today too and mopped up for a lot of the ground we conceded in midfield. Think Lucas just lost out to Dembele overall but wasn't as bad as is being painted and that win will do the lads a massive amount of good.

Personally think that was our hardest game of the season out of the way and wouldn't have given up hopes of 4th with a draw, winning it puts us back in with a shout. 9 games, win 7 of them and I'd surprised if we don't get 4th. Well in boys, very pleased.
