Hello all.
Some of you may remember that last year I raised nearly £5000 for the Hillsborough Family Support Group (HFSG) and the Hillsborough Justice Campaign (HJC) by riding my bike from Norwich to Sheffield to Liverpool, in memory of the 96 fans who lost their lives in the Hillsborough disaster.
Since the ride I received many emails and phone calls from people wishing to be involved in the ride in future years, so for 2013 I have worked with British Cycling to organise a 96km ride, open to all.
The event is called Ride for the 96 and takes place on Sunday 28th April 2013 starting and finishing in St. Helens and heading north into Lancs and around the top of Ormskirk.
For this year, again 100% of monies raised are being allocated to charities, including Alder Hey Childrens Charity, the 23 Foundation and the Steven Gerrard Foundation.
