As some said before, too casual from us and no sense of urgency what so ever.

Some great saves their by the keeper, some real special ones. There are however areas of a goal where keepers cannot reach. We failed to find them in 20+ attempts today.

Disappointing. We will not play against a more open, disorganised side for seasons to come.

So the key to beating their keeper today was to be more urgent? Damn, why didn't Brendan think of that.

Thrashed them 0-0 it seems. One of the easier results to analyse purely on the performance of one man and one man only. Stand up Alex McCarthy. Outstanding.

Although we can be disapointed by our (obvious but not recent) lack of finishing, we have to praise the performance of their keeper! Let's be fair here. where the f*** this is coming from tho??
But fair play to him, Man of the Match performance.
We SHOULD beat those team however great their keeper is..and that is sooo frustrating to watch game after game..

27 shots against the worst defence in the league with no goals just isn't good enough.

I can't quite believe that people are complaining about that. Any other keeper on any other day and we would've won 7 or 8 nil. Stop being so F***ing negative about something that was out of our hands today with a goalkeeping display that we're never likely to witness again.

Clearly it was Brendan Rodgers' fault...

He could have used a sniper rifle to get rid of their keeper, instead he did nothing ! Brendan out ! ;)

You know that old expression, "We murdered them 0-0" ? It was a bit like that like. I would be FAR more concerned if we weren't creating the opportunities. We created them, plenty of them, and they were quality chances. We just couldn't finish.

This game can essentially be summed up with: poor finish from us at times, compounded by the heroics of Alex McCarty in goal. Heck of a performance back there, but we had opportunities outside of his quality saves to win. We didn't take them. End of.

Have to praise McCarthy. That was the best goalkeeping performance I've seen all season. Tip my cap to him.

Not defending the performance, it wasn't good enough, but it was nowhere near as bad as some of the reaction in here.

      If we'd won that 5 - 0 it wouldn't have flattered us.

Having said that the attitude still wasn't good enough and you can tell the mentality of the players is not how it should be, but what do you expect when your manager is saying it really could be better if we don't make Europa League footy, you get half arsed performances.

Reading are possibly the worst defence I've ever witnessed but that keeper had an absolute blinder mixed in with shocking finishing at times.

Thought taking Hendo off was the wrong choice but Downing could have won it so perhaps Brendan was right on that one but at the end of the day the result is everything and that was a shocking result.

So much for being level on points with last year's total after that game, maybe next game eh?
