Watching our 2nd goal again, how brilliant was that?

Only five touches on the ball after Pepe sent it to the attacking half - Sturridge with one, then Coutinho has two, Sturridge another one, and finally Hendo with one more to score.

It means nothing in the grand scheme of things as our season is over, but boy it does make the Saturday evening feel better. Here's to playing like this more consistently and winning 6-7 league games in a row.

What a fantastic result! Awesome! But what a sloppy performance

Sturridge has to change his attitude, two well taken goals, but he basically strolled through the game and was more intent on trying to get a penalties when it was painfully obvious he was better off staying on his feet. Twice I counted that happening. Then, after Coutinho makes a goal for him, he leaves him standing on his own and refuses to pass when the boy was in acres of space.

Everyone else worked hard and came away with credit. Coutinho was different class and is going to be world class

I cannot accept we were that good, but Newcastle were that bad. It was a great result, but our defence is still very poor, shocking even. How many times did a corner or cross just drop in the 6 yard area amongst four of five red shirts? How poor was Johnson? Criminal

I can understand us not wanting to bust a gut, being 6-0 up, but tardiness is not an option at LFC. I'm really not trying to be 'controversial' here either, but I'm sitting here after a 6-0 away win and I'm just pissed off with our attitude, defensive frailties, and sloppiness up front.

Well you don't see that kind of result every week. To beat anyone in this league 6-0 away from home is outstanding, truly.

Thought Coutinho stood out head and shoulders above everyone else, that lad is an immense talent for his age, for any age he's spectacular but for being so young it is frightening for opposition how good he could become.

We started with right attitude today and all credit to Brendan for that, because in these games where there's 'little to play for' for us you can expect, not excuse, a lethargic attitude and there was absolutely no sign of that from the moment we started.

To be honest it could have been more and they only had 1 real chance which they definitely should have scored from but besides that we never looked in danger. Have to give Enrique great credit, thought he was immense at the back and the few moments they had he snuffed it out.

Lucas was very strong also, but Gerrard was better, imperious display in the middle, Newcastle looked at times like they had no midfield we played that well in there. Thought Sturridge actually could have played a lot better, but in my eyes that's the mark of a good player, coming off with 2 goals in the bag and there's more in the locker, can't argue with that.

Hendo with 2 goals also, first one was the better, great move and lovely to see him making that run, he's added that to his game this year and I'm going to give the boss credit for that also as it's something he's always needed to 'take a chance'.

Not going to mention any negatives as it just seems to wind people up so I'm happy to leave those well behind and delighted for Borini to get his goal even if it did cost me a nice touch the little git. The joy on his face was worth it though and the confidence that will give him will pay dividends in the weeks to come in my opinion.

What a game, now let's take this momentum on and batter Everton!

      Well in boys!

The wonderful thing about the performance is that we had just 10/11 goal attempts. That's as clinical as it can get.

The performance reminded me a little of the Reading game except this time we were clinical and were professional in front of goal.
