Borini or Carroll? Carroll for me. Much more useful. Forget about our 'system' for a minute. He can change games. Borini can't.

Or would people prefer we had both?

I honestly wouldn't be overly upset if both these guys were sold!
Carroll probably is the more useful of the two, but he's hardly setting the world on fire at the minute.

Carroll might be more useful at the moment, but not enough to justify a place in the squad. The fact is he's probably more valued in the market too, so it's not simply a matter of who's better right now.

True, just feel we could have kept him and thrown that 11million for Borini at a better player.

why not both?  We've spent most of this season bemoaning our lack of squad depth and now we're saying sell fringe players?

I understand the arguments for selling Carroll, but Borini hasn't had a fair chance in my book and deserves another season.

both, neither, one or the other.. i am not solid on any options.. i like both and would keep both, but the fact is we need another great striker, and suarez sturridge carroll borini just might not be good enough to get us a spot up the top of the tree next season. it might win us a cup though.

I would take carroll because he can make the difference if things arent going well as our plan B. Also because i just like him hard not to like a guy like him and he is more proper EPL experience. Although i think borini can become a good footballer nothing more.

We dont play the kind of football Carroll thrives on.

We do play the kind of football Borini thrives on.

I'd take both in as back-up strikers. Carroll has power, Borini apparently have movement and unless we get good transfer money and also have better strikers as replacement, we keep them. Both have a lot to prove next season. Borini is injured most of the season - need more games and Big Andy needs to be given an opportunity to go for a trial by Brendan to see if Big Andy can play tiki-taka football.

Carrol with Borini's movement would be a 30 goals season striker. Since they are two players, dont mind letting go both.

Carroll, just haven't seen anything in Borini that makes me think he will improve. He is a headless chicken of a player.

Carrol had his chance here, and failed to impress.  Borini has had a season blighted by injury.  If he is ineffective and anonymous next season then we can look to move him on, but the lad deserves a chance before being written off.  One thing that I can say is that Borini shows the right sort of attitude when he plays -- always full of energy, trying to force the issue and make a positive impact.  Too often it looked like Carrol couldn't be arsed to even attempt to get himself on the end of the crosses we were constantly whipping into the box.

      For me, it's Borini.

Borini for me everytime, if he plays well he plays in the right style, if Carroll plays well we've had to change our style.

As starters I'd have neither, as back up, neither have been stellar and my personal preference is for Borini, the amount of times last season and this season at West Ham that I've seen a cross come in, perfect for Carroll who's managed to just puff him self out getting from the centre circle to just outside the box and nowhere near the ball, puts me off Carroll.

At least defenders are somewhat scared of Carroll.  No one is afraid of Borini.
