I do see a Liverbird rising up out of the smoke there! Freaky!

      Definitely an omen.

That Liverbird is spooky ! Well well well pissed off. Worked yesterday, wasn't able to watch or listen to the match, waited for motd and after all the drawn out crap about whiskey nose and gollum, I F***ing fell asleep before we got on. By all accounts, we did o.k. so no qualms really, just glad of another 3 point and a bit of positive at the end of the season to keep our hopes up for a resurgeance come next season. One to go and another big win I hope.

Excellent first goal from Sturridge. On his day he's really crisp finisher (and passer). I didn't think much of his transfer originally, but fair play to the lad, he has done really well after comin in.
And Coutinho is starting to settle in nicely. What a pass!
One more PL game for Carra, we are going to miss than man :(

Think we've shown we can exploit weaker teams away from home, on the break - we need the metal to be able to do the same to the big teams. And show we can break down stubbord defenses at home...

Sorry mate, but just did a quick re-edit of that in Photoshop because I noticed something different:

A Liverbird (although that may be what you were inferring you saw, too).

Definitely, that's what I saw - though using 'Paint' doesn't exactly lend itself well to artistic endeavours

Great come back lads. Thought it was going to be one of those games when Berbaflop scored but we turned it around quick smart and put the game to bed. Congrats on the hat trick Daniel.

Great attaching performance and pleased that a few got an opportunity, such as Coates and Shelvey. Nice to see Coady get a few minutes and hope he gets a few more against QPR on Sunday. Coutinho is very exciting to watch and Sturridge took his goals like a proper striker. Slight concerns defensively. Even with Carra around, defending for their goal was rather poor. We also could have got caught out on one or two other occasions.

Great to see the team taking it seriously. It disgusted me reading some members of the forum saying there was nothing to play for before the match. While that may be true in terms of the league positioning, any time a player puts that Red shirt on, they should play their heard out and treat it like a cup final. That may be a bit cliched but it's the truth.

Special mention for the traveling Kop. They were outstanding and they filled me with pride. The banners, the pyros, the songs, the saluting of John Arne Risse when he came on. Just fantastic and a credit to the club.

On to Carras last game. I am sure he will be professional throughout and play his heart out. All I can say is I am going to struggle to accept that it is his last game. The man is a legend and I hope the fans are as good on Sunday as they were at Craven Cottage. Things are bound to get emotional.

EDIT: Just on added note, forgot to mention how great it was to see the lads working hard to get back in to the game when we were a goal down. That's the mark of a solid team.

I read we've picked up 17 points from a losing position this season. Is that right?

It's true but we've also thrown away something like 14 points from winning positions.

So basically, +3 overall, so pretty much 50/50

      From today's match.

Do I see a Liverbird here?

Does that mean our rise from the ashes of h&g is finally complete and now we can fly back to where we belong?

      Or am I just romanticising?

You most certainly are not, the evidence is there before your very eyes - the pheonix rises.
