Dunno mate.  Each time Assaidi has played he has looked dangerous and offered us a real presence on the wing.  How many times can you say Downing has ever looked "dangerous"?  We've got nothing left to play for, we're not going to finish any higher or lower, let's just play Assaidi to give him some minutes FFS.

Give him one last chance to show he's worthy of keeping.  If not, give him a chance to show prospective buyers what he's capable of.  Apparently Ajax were about to sign him and we hijacked the move; show them he's still up to it and maybe use him as a makeweight in a deal for Eriksen.

That's some top keeping by Pepe. Didn't look like too much, but his positioning was excellent on that to cut the play out early at the edge of the area.
