So that manc game will either be a 12.45pm on the 31st or a 1.30pm kick off the following day.

Im guessing it'll be moved to Sunday, Pete.

Arsenal and Spurs are up against eachother that gameweek, so it'll be 'Super Sunday'.

Happy enough with the fixture list, not to taxing at any part of the season apart from Citeh & Chavs within a few days, but that could change due to either weather or CL influence,

is it just me, do we always play scum at home first every season, wiil someone please educate me cos i'm sure we have the last few seasons ?

December looks really tough. 6 matches, and Spurs, City and Chelsea all on the road. That will be a difficult month.

First match against United is on my birthday! DON'T SPOIL MY DAY ;D

Pretty pleased with our fixture list.  This will not be the same Stoke side we have struggled against for the past several years and we may be able to take advantage of their transitional period under a new manager.

Through the end of October, there are 9 league games and all but the Scum look very winnable on paper.  Realistically, if we can carry our end of season form into the beginning of next campaign we could be looking at 5W / 2D / 2L to start the campaign.  17 points from our opening 9 games would be a very good start and would have us on target for about 70 points by the season's end!!

We'll learn a lot about our desire to do well when that whistle goes at FT against Stoke.

They are there to be turned over

Can Liverpool complain having away matches against city and Chelsea 26th and 28th December?  Other than that,  much better fixtures than last season.

Quite surprised that our fixtures aren't that oppressive at any time during the season, barring the Xmas period.

Been watching SSN for the first time in years and hadn't realised (according to them) that we are no longer considered a big team or even a contender.  Let's hope that by Xmas they've changed their mind  ;D

Decent set of fixtures to start with and a pleasant change to the start Brendan had to deal with.

Up to the end of October looks like a chance to build up points before a tougher run up to Christmas.

Hopefully by the time Christmas comes the squad will be well bedded together and be playing like it, build up some confidence and be a real force up into the Winter window where we can build more towards a run.

      Indeed.

If we hit the ground running and play as well as we did at the end of this season then there is no reason why we cant be sitting close to the top coming into December.

Happy with the fixtures, starting and finishing at home is always something I look for so I'm glad that's come out. Also excluding Utd the cu*ts, we play City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Everton away from home first. I'm all for that because I feel more confident when playing at home in the business half of the season against the top sides where hopefully we'll be playing something and home advantage may play a massive part.

All in all I'm actually very pleased with the fixtures!

Playing the scum is better with Luis in the team than not. Playing teams during their losses of form or injury crisis or fixture pile up is better for us than when they have everyone fit and available with decent rest.

That said, I'm happy enough with our list, barring the early home game against the mancs. Hate playing them at home first, and especially early on. Happy to be at home first and last, for the first time in 10 years, and against the same opposition in the last game at home as 10 years ago, GH's last game in charge.

BUT - chances are , Luis wont be with us - and who can predict when teams will be in form or without injuries ?

If i can do that prediction, I wont let you know - but I'll be the guy with a bevy of beauties on a massive yacht somewhere in the carribean with a very large smile and bank balance to match

Yes.  I went past Manchester when I went to Anfield.  It's not the point. Players need more than one day off in between games.

      Eh?

How many decades have clubs had hectic playing schedules over Christmas and new year?

Best fixture list for me in years.
A good start and even an early game against the scum with Golum new manager at home, a good finish, and yes a difficult Xmas period but we have to play those teams sometime and lets home we hit form at that time.

All in all its FAR better than last years!
