2013/14 - Where will we finish?

7th to contending for the title has exceeded my expectations and maybe a few others too.

It somehow feels different for me this season Billy, I'm still nervous before games but it's a confident nervous rather than a worried one.  For every game we win the more confident/nervous I get for the next one.  I don't want the bubble to burst but it could do at the slightest mistake/injury/ref decisions etc..... 

Even if we win every game it still might not be enough as so much depends on other results but we're in there with a shout and along with the chavs we're the form team this year.  We seem to be peaking when it matters and that's really exciting

I want first so badly it hurts. But.....  I said at start of season, 5th would be an improvement and a step in the right direction. Something to build on once again.
 I'll stick with that, and anything more will be an unexpected bonus.       If we win it, i'm coming home.

First post but I reckon we are good enough as a unit to win it now.

We have a good thing going with Rodgers and this group, and whilst the squad size is relevant we have had our share of
problems with injury and suspension but are still right there. That attack is just too hot to handle and absorbs any short
comings anywhere else in the side.

For Gerrard to come out so bullish after Southampton tells you these boys are buzzing now and we have a genuine chance.

Chelsea and City are not that great they cant be dealt with and we battered Arsenal, and I suspect will finish off Spurs at home.

The favourite doesn't always win the league and going back an unfashionable Leeds side got the better of Man United to lift the
Premiership title through sheer desire and momentum, and we can do the same.

Liverpool are no longer about just finishing 4th and as a dark horse are right there looking sweet on the rails.

You're right. Regardless, from 7th to 3rd and loosing out on the title by one point? Definitely be happy with that.

I voted 3/4th but I really think we can win it and have done for the last 3 weeks. The good thing is even if we don't win it 3rd/4th is still agood season made even better by the fact were in the mix on the run in

I voted 5th way back when. Reckon we will finish 3rd now behind the money clubs. top 4 of Chels, City, Liverpool, Arsenal.

Hoping for first do not get me wrong.

My real worry is that when we play Manure, that b******d Evra will do something to rile Suarez which may either get Suarez sent off or worse.

Manure are just the c**ts to not allow us to challenge for the title by taking out our best and volatile player.

I hope and pray that *all* our players come back to Liverpool safe after playing Manure.

Let's have a bit of perspective here. They maybe cu*ts in footballing terms but they're not some armed militia we're playing against. Moyes is not some crime boss who will order a hit on one of our players just to get a win. What we need is a strong referee, a good performance and good discipline, nothing more, nothing less.

with UTD, Chelsea and City all having new managers a good start could mean we could have a great season.
My heart says we can build upon a good start and stick in there until Jan and really compete but my head say different.
I have a feeling that Brendan would be a good manager to have if we get on top so if we do well in the first 6 games I think we will do well all season.

My first post in this thread so I can be quite cocky

 This. My only qualification would be that the gaps between the teams will be smaller than they appear on the screen. I'm convinced that for a portion of the season we will be competing for the title.

Too early to tell, but based on a "as it stands" approach:

Spurs

Something about Spurs just seems so iffy to me. Might be down to the over-reliance on Bale, I don't know.
