What's wrong with the player say he's LFC fan ? It's better than he say I'm definite ManU/Barca/RMadrid/Chelsea etc fan and I dream to play for that team one day.
Especially anyone watch LFC final at Istanbul if they're not our fierce rivals fan then it's hard not to fall in love with our club.

      Welcome to LFC Iago.

Not saying there is anything wrong with it, I'm merely saying that I have become bored of hearing it. Especially considering that a lot of those very same players then say they were a boyhood fan of another club when they leave; and like I said, if he actually is a fan and was there in Istanbul then hats off to him.

Don't think the comparison is there to be honest. Quite a lot of the things between the both are completely different.

@ZeeLFC1994: Aspas: "I actually was there in Istanbul in 2005, I fell in love with the club at that point. What a night that was for us Liverpool fans."

Sounds like a glory-hunter to me; only started supporting us when we won.

Anyway, hopefully you can help us to more glories and get more players to join the bandwagon.

      Oh dear...

Liverpool's Iago Aspas move BLOCKED by Spanish Football Federation
But the Reds are confident that a deal "will be done shortly" with the angry Spanish authorities and Celta Vigo

Liverpool’s signing of Iago Aspas is being blocked by the Spanish Football Federation in a legal row over the player’s representation.

And according to emails seen by MirrorSport, Kop managing director Ian Ayre continued to negotiate with unauthorised agents over the deal even after discovering that he was not dealing with the player’s official FIFA-licensed representatives.

Aspas has a representation agreement with Jorge Santome and Carmelo Vicente until 2014, but attempted to force through a move to Anfield by enlisting the help of Barcelona-based agency PromoEsport.

As exclusively reported by the Daily Mirror last week, wrangling over the deal was holding up the finalisation of the transfer, and Celta Vigo and the Spanish Federation are now so furious at the conduct of Ayre, Liverpool and PromoEsport that they are refusing to release Aspas’ International Transfer Certificate (ITC).

This means that although the 25-year-old could be presented as a Reds player and even train with the side, while the RFEF refuse to release the ITC the player cannot feature in any official matches for the Reds.

Santome and Vicente are now taking action against PromoEsport through the Spanish Federation, backed by Celta Vigo and several other La Liga clubs who are angry with PromoEsport’s conduct.

The agency, which on their website claims to represent another Liverpool target, Barcelona’s Luis Alberto, is banned from the Celta training ground and used the player’s brother to present the offer to the Galician club in order to hide their involvement.

A Liverpool spokesman said: “There was a complication with the paperwork. For the deal to be completed both FAs have to release the paperwork and we are waiting for that to happen. However, we are confident that will be done shortly.”

      Ian Ayre?

      Just kidding.

This seems like it will be resolved eventually. It sounds bad right now, but I'm sure it's nothing too severe. The two agents probably just want a healthy pay day.

Sorry to say this , BUT  Do we have ameatures managng the club?
This agent problem  should have been dealt with before we signed the player especially if Ayre knew about it,(as the article claim)

      Dickhead.

I'm planning to dismiss this as a minor technicality that will be ironed out but would anybody be surprised if LFC was punished for knowingly dealing with unlicensed agents?
      Fine?
      Transfer embargo...?
      Wouldn't surprise me.
