Liverpool hope to sign Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet for £8million in the next week.

The Reds have bid £7m but the Wearsiders are holding out for nearer £10m, with the clubs likely to reach a compromise.

Elsewhere, reports suggest Brendan Rodgers is also chasing Sporting Lisbon goalkeeper Rui Patricio - a player also sought after by Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Liverpool and Crystal Palace have asked about taking Chelsea midfielder Lucas Piazon on loan.

I really liked the look of him when i saw him play. If my memory is correct, his first touch in PL is an assist. Considering how bad Chelsea is in bringing youths into first team we may loan him with an eye on a permanent deal in future.

Chelsea already have an abundant of AM's . BR's relation with Mourinho may work in our favor.

Looks like he has great potential but likewise i can't see how he'd get that many games.
