I hear your guys frustration but apart from that one f**k up, he made at least 10 great saves over the last 2 games, kept us in both games and kept the scoreline down in both. Could have easily lost both games.

I'd keep him as a backup knowing that Alisson will be Number 1 in the PL and CL.

Trouble is though, aside from these games where it didn’t prove to be the case, but has been the situation plenty of times in the past - that one mistake can easily be the mistake that costs us a game.

Wish nothing but the best of luck to this guy, wasn’t quite at the level we needed but a good servant of the club for 6 years and evidently a class act last season when he was on the bench fir the whole year.

I 100% agree with this, a good team player, never moaned about being bumped down the list.

Wish him all the best for onwards career

Yeah he didn’t throw his toys out the pram or went talking to the press  he just kept his head down and got on with it regardless of playing no games all season, wish him all the very best.
As far as a replacement goes we need a good quality back up keeper that’s a few levels up from migs

For a limited keeper he has somehow managed to eek out a great career in the EPL.

      Good luck to him.

Don't want to be harsh but glad he's gone.  Simply wasn't good enough for us and being honest he did cost us league places during his time as number 1.

All the best to him in his future career.

Good luck to him. Nowhere near as bad as some of the expert goalkeeping coaches on here would have you believe. Probably short of top class. Didn't cost us the league in 13-14 like some suggest. All the best migs.

the defense cost us the league in 13-14 and he was part of it.

Average GK but best of luck to him.

Good luck to Migs in the future. Not enough quality to be a #1 for a title-contending team like Liverpool, but definitely not the sh*t house keeper the former hall-of-fame-worthy goalies on this board would have you believe. Took his demotion like a total pro and never caused any issues. Now he gets to go and have regular playing time and leave with a European champion medal.

Certainly not the worst keeper we've ever had but that in itself is depressing as hell.

Yep. Took more flak than he deserved. Not a great keeper, but a decent back up to Alisson (and definitely did not cost us in 13-14). Good luck to him at Bruges.

People saying he never moaned and kept his head down have short memories! In the season he was replaced by Karius, he done nothing but moan and give interviews about how he needs to consider his future and was seemingly questioning the decision to drop him. All in the run up to what turned out to be a boss CL campaign.

Just because he didn’t moan last season doesn’t take away the fact he was moaning prior to that. Dread to think how many goals, points and games he’s cost us during his time with us so I’m glad he’s gone and we never have to see him in our kit again. He was a coward in goal and was out of his depth.

Good to get rid of him and Moreno.

      Coward ?!

He treated the club and it’s fans with nothing but respect so why can’t we as fans do the same , since when did we start putting the knives into players when the leave just because they made mistakes on the pitch

Always expected the fans to act better

      At least Mignolet can

Good luck to him and he still played his part in the success last season

Like I said, short memories. It’s nothing to do with sticking the knife in, look it up and you can easily find the interviews he was giving about considering his future, saying that Klopp’s dealing with the keepers isn’t healthy etc etc.

Don’t start being all defensive of him now and trying to take some moral high ground when I have no doubts you all have slated him plenty of times.

Klopp addressing the moaning by Mignolet, reminding him that he’s well paid and shouldn’t be going to the papers complaining. No doubt a lighter version of a behind closed doors bollocking -

A pro complains when another keeper takes his place and also has mistakes - what’s problem ? And coward in goal ?! Wow that’s poor , just because he made mistakes or isn’t at the top level of keepers.

There is a difference between people being critical when someone makes mistakes but last season he was crucial in helping Alisson settle and spent a whole season just sat on the bench - did he have a moan at one stage , I have no doubt he did just like any other player who sat on the bench.
