Favourite Movie Scenes

It's very rare that a film makes me cry but I did with this scene the first time I watched it and still do to this day. It's just a heartbreaking moment. I don't know if it classes as a favourite because it does get me so much but at the same time because it gets to me as much as it does it's a scene I would show to anyone as to why The Great Escape is the greatest film of all time.

One that stands the test of time is: The single high angle shot tracking over movie theatre, church and schoolroom...all set to the Debbie Reynolds 1957 hit "Tammy" in the Magical Terrence Davis film "The Long Day Closes" For those of us of a certain vintage from Liverpool it carries a lot of emotion and fond nostalgia. Great filmmaker....and one of our own.
