Said before that if Madrid are interested we should try to get Morata and Jese as part of the deal.  Tidy little player and could be worth 20M+ in the next 3 years.

Heard good things about him, if I'm not mistaken he's often compared to Fernando Morientes, who used to be a favorite of mine (even if he was no longer the same when he played for us). I remember him setting up Benzema (not sure) against Barcelona this season. However, I hear the most talented of Real's youngsters is Jesé Rodriguez.

Real's technical director Miguel Pardez just confirmed that Jese Rodriguez will definitely be a part of their ongoing youth revolution and are going to tie him down sooner or later.

Mirror reporting Real value Suarez only at £25mil but they rate Jese at £15mil??!!  :f_steam:
Hope Ayre plays a Levy, never drop a penny below £40mil. Just squeeze the juice out of them, they definitely will need a striker if Higuain is shipped off to Napoli, leaving just Benzema and Morata as CF options.

If he is being compared to Fernando Morientes, I want him already.

Not that we'd be selling him, of course.

Sounds like another punt. Virtually no first team experience. I think we already have enough young, potential talent. Now for someone experienced.

This player would be someone who would walk straight into the team like Coutinho did.  The thing is,  real turned down 10m from Sevilla, so I would think Liverpool would need to beat that bid to have any chance at all.

Alvaro Morata - Real Madrid (loan)

Liverpool to rival Arsenal for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata

LIVERPOOL could be set to beat Arsenal to the signing of Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata after lodging a loan bid.

Morata is out-of-favour with Real manager Carlo Ancelotti, but is regarded as a hot prospect for the future.

Arsenal were thought to be the frontrunners to land Morata in January, following injuries to Theo Walcott and Nicklas Bendtner.

However, Liverpool are looking to trump their title rivals with Brendan Rodgers making a loan offer for the 21-year-old, according to Spanish sports paper Marca.

Marca claim that the Reds want to loan Morata for the rest of the season, but Madrid are in no rush to negotiate.

The Spain Under-21 hitman has played just 12 times for Real this season, used predominantly as a back-up option to Karim Benzema.

Feel Arsenal have the upper hand here clearly. Will take a lot of convincing. He'll be third choice behind Luis & Danny. At Arsenal, he will practically be first choice if you ignore Podolski, given Giroud, Bendtner & Walcott are injured.

      No real hopes on this

      Aspas?

I haven't seen this kid play but if we are to loan him in it doesn't say much about a player we paid money for last summer.

I've only seen him play once and he's about a million times better than Aspaz. Pointless anyway, there's no chance of MADRID GIVING HIM TO US.

Read in a Brazilian website that Ancelotti would be reluctant to let him go on loan and that it would need a good offer to take him away from Real Madrid because, despite already having many options for the position, the manager seems to think that Morata could be useful to them at some point. Arsenal are also supposedly interested, especially after the injuries of Bendtner and Walcott.

I would prefer Morata to Rodriguez. Morata could be the next big thing. Rodriguez is good but,  out of the Southampton lot Lallana is more talented in my opinion.
