      Juan Mata.

Well it had to be done, just as well be me to get slagged off.
Juan Mata seems to be spoken about by most on here, in the threads of a few of the other players, so thought I'd start one dedicated to him. And my sincere apologies if there is already one running, but I couldn't find one.
Nothing to suggest the club, any agents or even Juan himself, are even considering he move to Liverpool, but there still seems to be mixed feelings as to weather we would want him, if the option became reality.
In the Ivan Rakitic thread, there was a suggestion, a bid for £30 mill would have him playing for us. On the other hand, there are those who think that's to high a price to pay. So Mata for £30m or Ozil for £42m (what the arse allegedly paid).
So, to secure the services of a player who is looked upon as one of the best, in a position we desperately need strengthen. What in your opinion is the highest we would pay, and also what you think FSG would risk after the Carroll sting.

To me there is no risk with Mata, one thing Mata guarantee's is goals, whether that be in actual goals or assists, the previous two season's at Chelsea he was directly involved in 88 goals in 114 starts, that's including his international appearances.

That's a Suarez type return, he might not track back and do the defensive work as much as some but he's worth it for the attacking threat he brings.7

For me in the current market £30m would be a steal as he'd easily be the 2nd best player in our squad.

But as there's no link, I'd expect this to be locked up quicker than a child molester with two cocks.

Definitely worth a punt imo, proven quality and could be just what we need. Unsure as to whether they would ever sell him to us, though.

Make a bid. They'll either accept it or not...
