If we are going down this road I would rather us go for someone like Defoe than this two faced tw*t!

Personally I would be delighted to have Torres back. However as he would have no re-sale value at 29, would no doubt want high wages and would be competing for a place with Sturridge I have doubts that he will be coming especially as we also have Aspas and Borini.

Maybe if Suarez is sold they could possibly bring Torres back as a replacement but even then I doubt it.

I know, I told that to myself!!

But Torres-Villa back together might be a good scenario for Atletico, but not sure if we will be ready to pay up for Turan!

Haha, No chance this will happen...

If we were signing the Torres of yester year back then fine, but he is a spent force. Under Rafa he was sh*t too - so I cant see how under BR he would be great again. There are oly two reasons it would be good to have him back...

1, if he did somehow become prolific again to rub the chavs noses in it
      2, the Torres Bounce

      Simple analogy.

It's like getting back together with an ex who was not emotionally invested towards the end of your relationship who left you for someone else.

You don't go back as it is a mistake waiting to happen.

He is a judas and has lost his spark that he had at Liverpool.

But.........if we got him for a good price then I think it would be worth a gamble.  And i think eventually the fans would come around.

Might as well go in for Babel while we're at it.

He would have to change his attitude for a start and if (it's a big if) he was to put the ball in the net on a regular basis he might just might be allowed to beg forgiveness for being a tw*t when he signed for Chelsea.
I still think his best days are well and truly gone.

His armband said he was a red Torres Torres
You'll never walk alone it said Torres Torres
We bought the lad from the Chavs in blue
He's in front of goal and he hasn't a clue
      Fernando Torres Liverpool's number 27.

Doesn't quite have the same ring to it.

Take the emotion out of it

      Won't happen.

If Torres moves he will want to go to a side where he is the main man, where everything goes through him.. He won't want to go to be a bit part.
Rodgers won't put him in front of Sturridge.

I think we need another cf but one without the ego or needs of Torres.

I don't actually think we will sign anyone before the window shuts.. We don't have the competency or ambition

The only place Fernando will go, is back to Athletico.

Shame Athletico didn't buy him and sell Diego Costa to us. After reading on here that he was rubbish, I watched him v Barca the other night and was very impressed.

The chavs are willing to listen to offers after signing Samuel Eto'o on Thursday.

How about we offer something for Mata then..? In all fairness, he is past it as many have said and wont come back, or would want too... If they have too many strikers then go for Moses (still rather not tbh) or Ba over Torres any day of the week...

Regardless of history with us of even his current lack of ability,  where would he fit in our team?  Drop Sturridge? Push Sturridge out wide to a position he has made it clear he doesn't feel is his best? This is an absolute non starter on so many levels

I can actually picture a scenario where BR is chapping Ayre's door with a list of what's available and would add quality and (after the administration f#cking up first choice targets) being told "Brendan - they weren't on your original list we're not rushing into second choices. Have a free or wait till January".

And on Torres - if it wasnt him why would anybody contemplate it on his form since 2010?

Personally, I think he would do better in a *RED* shirt. He is just not the Chavs type of player.

I would have him here if it was £5 million or less transfer fee. Also, on a pay as you play basis.
