Don't know anything about this lad.  At least it shows Rodgers knows we need to improve right now in the striking department.  Even if Suarez stays, he's going to be out until September, and with Sturridge injured the only striker we have right now available is Aspas.  So let's hope this lad can step up.

AM have qualified for the CL this season, id doubt he is in a rush to leave them.

Is this as a potential replacement for Luis? Because had we shown this intent to get a player like him a few weeks back Luis may not be in such a rush to leave

Just read about his disciplinary record, it chequered to say the least . I've seen Madrid play a few times last season never really recall the lad playing, however it's hard to stand out when all the attention was on Falcao. Could be a real coup

Diego Costa: Liverpool offer Atletico Madrid £21m for striker

Liverpool have made a £21m offer for Atletico Madrid's Brazilian striker Diego Costa.



The offer is understood to have triggered the 24-year-old Brazilian's release clause and Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is hopeful of completing the deal swiftly.

Costa who joined Atletico from Valladolid in 2010, scored 10 goals in the Primera Liga last season.
The striker made his international debut in March this year.

Liverpool have resisted Arsenal's attempts to sign striker Luis Suarez this summer and have also signed Iago Aspas from Celta Vigo

Like him when he's got his head right. Hard worker who can find goals and assists but also good one on one. I think the market is crazy these days so 22m who knows
