The only word I can say to United selling to us is Heinz,I suspect that Ferguson will still pull the strings even though Moyes is now manager.

Rooney is pretty good.  Wouldn't pay over 20m though. He's not great.  He's as good as Torres is now.

Personally speaking - I wouldn't have the turd about the place.

Had a quick look, couldn't find any link, so this will be locked.

Ok lets peel away all the Manutd vs Liverpool history for a sec.... does anyone else think we should actually consider WR?

my thoughts

- If Suarez leaves, WR would be a proven goal scorer that can replace him. 
- If Suarez stays.. can you imagine a lineup with WR and Suarez and coutinho, gerrard, ibe, sterling feeding them balls? 
- WR can play striker and even hang back a bit... areas where LFC are currently also looking to improve
- WR wants out of Manutd... chelsea is knocking... I believe currently Manutd is more fearful of selling to chelsea than to us.
- WR could demand 30-35mil.  look we offered around this much for other less proven players... his transfer fee is actually quite reasonable
- his passing game is superb.  we have seen the quality he has. he can finish as well as assist.  IMO he fits the BR play style
- a transfer like this will tell the world that LFC is back and serious for top 4
- WR can sell a ton of shirts... be another english player on our roster
- lastly and most importantly.. he will be loved.  If one thing LFC and its fans are good at, is that we support our players... through thick or thin... till they do not don our shirt anymore.

Unlike most LFC fans I'd have Rooney in a heartbeat. Unfortunately though he wouldn't sign for us, Man U wouldn't sell him to us and FSG wouldn't sign him for us.
