Definitely a talent there, he did enough to show he has a future here.

      Just needs to get fit.

I thought he did well and looked like it was just a cramp that forced him off since the physio didn't even bothered... he just went straight to the bench... If Sakho isn't fit he is worth a look in the Arsenal game and if he seems out of his depth bring Lucas on then.

Yep, coming in after not having played basically all season and to be paired with the waterboy!!

I think he deserves a long look....if he can show he's up for the phsicality of this league he could prove to be a valuable CB to have in the mix.

Decent enough performance.  Can't be easy playing in a make shift defense with Enrique as you CB partner and Bogdan at GK....  Clearly very short of match fitness, but didn't look out of depth.

Didn't have much to do, but when called upon, was reliable. I think he has shown he has the quality, just needs more games to build up the fitness and sharpness. I actually wouldn't mind him as 3rd or 4th choice CB next season if he stays. Final 6 months I think?

      Agree
Looks very assured on the ball and a solid and commanding partner along side him would be interesting to see

Looks really composed tonight and not letting Carroll bully him.

Big prospect but needs more game time, hope he gets it

Played well and if he can put on some muscle over the summer he could have a future here.

when you think Lucas an illori put in a performance as good as any CB's this season it makes you wonder what the others are doing,He did well tonight pleased for him and the other lads too

Tim Sherwood was a large portion of it I think, after that they were in a dogfight so perhaps youth wasn't the order of the day. I think he might have a future too but does need to bulk up a bit.

Carries the ball nicely out of defence when given the chance but his legs had totally gone at the end (understandably) thought it was a decent enough performance by the lad, clearly helped having Lucas alongside giving him instructions.

He was good at intercepting the ball before it reached the edge of the box too. It cancelled out a lot of their attacks.

He did mate, he's one of those that I think a lot of us thought should be getting more time here but was farmed out relentlessly and some even used Villa not using him as a sign of him not being good enough. From what I've seen so far he definitely should get more time, especially as we could quite easily be shipping out some first team CB in the summer. I think he could work his way into being a back-up.

Yup he also has that valuable ability - pace to help him out, something apart from Gomez lacking in our CB's

In my opinion he was better than most, if not all of our options in his position and as a whole player, I truly think I'd be more comfortable with him back there than anyone else, barring perhaps Lucas who looked even sharper there.

He's tall, quick, aggressive, commanding, good on the ball, and positions himself well. He cut down a huge amount of attacks tonight, many of which were easy to underappreciate due to the ease in which he seemed to perform/make them look.

Not sure if I'm a minority in my opinion, but I'd like to see a lot more of him.

      Graceful, calm and composed.
Just lacking some strength, experience and time.
Love to have Carra give him some personal training and chats.

Done very well vs an established prem team didn't he? Only his 3rd game of the season too. We should really consider playing him for the rest of the season, he could turn out to be a fine ball playing CB!

Was very impressed with him in the last game.
To me there is certainly the nucleus of a good player in there
