We paid £3.5m, the £7m figure was based on add ons that were triggered.

      Cheers Debs.

Best of luck to Tiago. Always thought he looked impressive on the handful of games he played. Shame he couldn't break in to the first team. I think he will do well at his next club.

I never really get this mate, not having a go at all but the way I always look at it is that with this type of player is that we haven't seen enough to judge, he played 3 games total for us, twice against Exeter and then West Ham all in the FA cup last season, he's been here under a couple of different managers,  he couldn't even get in Tim Sherwoods Villa side

It's enough for me to accept those managers seeing him in training constantly to judge his level

He looked a talent to an extent,  tall, quick albeit weiry.. Maybe the physicality of the Premier League was deemed to much for him

Good luck to him but I never really held out much hope that he'd be a Liverpool player, enough managers have failed to give him a chance and that tells me a lot

Best for him to move on and get on with his career, he was wasting it here

I hope he does well at Reading as it will mean we will get the maximum transfer value for him

That's a nice chunky percentage! Let's hope he goes on to be a really good player for his own sake.

Nice. Always liked him and still hoping he will play at the highest level regularly once he hits his peak years.

Portugal going to need a central defender to partner Rúben Dias when Pepe steps down
