A solid CB is required ASAP.  Two more, in fact.

Lovren, Matip, Sahko, Gomez & one of (Illori, Lucas, Wisdom as emergency)

No Europe, just league & cups?

      Two more you say?

Not going to happen; we are done at that spot.

How was it clear from the start? Nobody can possibly know that really. I'm not one of those that said he should be sacked but I did raise the question of whether the club would or not if he's banned for a long period of time.

It's easy to come out like you are now when he's been cleared of all wrong doing.

The fat burning drug was revealed at the same time he'd failed the drug test. Using a fat burner is hardly EPO levels of severity on the drugs scale, yet the hysterics made it look as if he was footballs very own Lance Armstrong.

SoG, the vast majority of those athletes using PE's are also taking the fat burners as they can somewhat mask the underlying PE's in a drug test...pretty common combination.

      of course not.

But it's related to his praise.  We still need a top CB.  Basically we've got Lovren, who has had one wretched season, then one season where he was better; Matip, who we have no idea how he will adjust; Sakho who is inconsistent at best; and then some kids basically (Gomez, Wisdom, etc etc).  So every single one of our CBs has a question mark, and that's being kind.  Not to mention the numbers have simply dropped, with Toure and Skrtel leaving.

A solid CB is required ASAP.  Two more, in fact.

People are posting about how it's good the case was dropped, how he should sue etc yet you see this as praise.

I really do wonder whether you're the one who should be tested for drugs.

This is likely to be a stupid mistake rather than some evil plan but he will end up paying for it.

He doesn't have the best injury record.

Him and Lovren both have relatively poor injury records for a centre-back, Sakho marginally worse.

I'm sure he will recover soon enough.  I think there are drugs you can take for Achilles injuries...

I wondered how long it'd be, he wore 3 at PSG.

I'd be a bit pissed off if I was a fan who paid for Sakho 17 on the back of my shirt though.

Edit: Sakho has it sorted (to an extent). I'd still be p'd off though having spent close to £70 for a shirt. Surely the club should allow for an exchange?

Liverpool star Sakho takes over No.3 shirt - and will reward fans who have already purchased

      13:21, 18 JUL 2016         UPDATED 13:29, 18 JUL 2016         BY NEIL JONES

Reds defender has worn No.17 since joining club in 2013

Mamadou Sakho has taken the No.3 shirt this season – and offered to reward any Liverpool fans left short-changed by his switch.

The French defender has worn No.17 since joining the club in 2013, but will take over the jersey vacated by Jose Enrique for the 2016/17 campaign.

And as a gesture to those fans that have already purchased the 2016-17 home or away jerseys with name and number 17 on the back, Sakho has offered supporters the opportunity to have them signed.

All official 2016-17 season Liverpool FC shirts printed with ‘Sakho 17’ should be sent to Anfield by the September 1, 2016, along with a stamped self-addressed envelope big enough to contain your jersey.

It will then be signed by Sakho and returned to the supporter using the self-addressed envelope.

The club has strongly that recommended supporters send the shirts via recorded delivery as the club cannot accept responsibility for items lost in the post.

Sakho is currently recovering from surgery on an Achilles problem, and is expected to miss the start of the Premier League season. The Frenchman, who was cleared of wrongdoing earlier this month after a UEFA doping allegation, remains a hugely popular figure among Reds supporters, having emerged as a key figure under Jürgen Klopp.

The address to send shirts to is:

However, the ECHO understands that concerns had been raised about the 26-year-old's attitude around the club's training camp in California and that's prompted his swift return to the UK.

Sakho was booked on the same overnight flight to Heathrow as left-back Brad Smith, who is en route to Bournemouth to undergo a medical ahead of completing a £6million move.

Flying in this morning into Heathrow with Brad Smith and the returning to Melwood.
Sent back after just five days on tour.

What a bizarre turn of events.

Seems odd as he'd always been praised for working hard and being committed to the club.

And here I was thinking he'd be named captain this season.  Guess that's not going to happen.
