Hmm tricky game to call this one, I fancy us to win though becuase i think we are very solid at the back, hope this is the game Coutinho really gets back into his stride, would also love to get a look at Moses on the wing.

It's good that this game is on Monday because the chances are we won't be top of the league anymore and this win will take us back there.  Had we gone into the game top of the league, we might have slipped up. Seen it before.

No Skrtel? After his outstanding performance against the mancs? Not even on the bench?

Was thinking the same thing. No way!

This is the sort of time last season when a smaller team would take a sh*t in our cornflakes. Let's see how far we've really come.

Without Sturridge. It's games like these where if we lose points because both of our strikers are out, we can be rightfully pissed off with what Suarez did last season against Ivanovich. We're in desperate need of Daniel being fit otherwise risk drawing or even losing the game. Hopefully Henderson will be more of an outlet if Sturridge is out.

Maybe this is Aspas' chance to shine..

Are we going to wear red against these or are they going to force us to wear that awful third kit?

      No.

I watched that game Swans matched them for about half an hour before their defence fell apart completely!

As I said, they matched them in every department except for up front. Unfortunately after half an hour of things being pretty even, ManUre got their chance and took it. While Swansea were still rattled from that, Wellbeck fired in a second and it was game over and the Swans fell apart. I wasn't suggested that they matched them for 90 minutes and given that the score was 4-1 to the Mancs, that would have been an odd assumption to have made from my post.
My point being that when we get a chance, we need to take it because had van Pussy not taken his chance, I don't (personally) believe that Wellbeck's goal would have happened and the game could have been very different. Spuds only managed a 1-0 win against them courtesy of a penalty and then Swansea went to beat West Brom on their own ground which is a decent result.
Who knows, we could demolish them 5-0 but my point stands, I personally think that we'll need to be clinical to take the 3 points as I don't think we'll get many chances later on if we're wasteful.

Anyone thinking this is 3 points to lose is deluded. They had a tough start with Europa league games&travel but they're right back on track after away win. If LFC score first we have a chance to win it. If we went behind I'm curious what BR answer would be. I'd take a point, but won't be surprised with defeat as Swansea are not going to lose their 2 opening home games unfortunately. They're a very good team.

Long, long time since we last played. Just hope we don't have too many walking wounded for this one. Last season we won one, lost one(cup) and drew one against these so we need to be up for the game and ready.

I think all the attention will be on our defense and which players Brendan picks. I would bring Toure back myself if he is fit, with Wisdom slotting in at RB for Johnson. Maybe give Sakho a run out if we are comfortable towards the end.

I think Moses will start in place of Aspas with Sturridge (if fit) and Coutinho.

Hoping for another clean sheet and three points but perhaps Gerrard and Coutinho getting the goals. 2-0

Our last fixture to fall on 16th September saw us win 4-1 and even Lucas got on the score sheet.

What odds on the him repeating the feat, hopefully in the same style.

We'll need to sure up our R/H side of midfield. If I were Swansea, I'd try exploit that side to expose and single out Wisdom. At the moment, his positional and decision making skills are naive at best. Hope he proves me wrong.

barret says sturridge would be up for it..he looked ok against scums as BR said hes 70% fit so 15 days would be enough for compleet recovery.

Not his biggest fan but you can't drop Martin after his game vs the Mancs. Would be wrong.

Mignolet in goal, Wisdom at right back with Danny/Martin in the middle and Enrique on the left.

Lucas, Gerrard and Coutinho in front of them.

Hendo on the right, Moses on the left and Danny up top.

      1-0 win ;)

I don't care how we win ,just win and put another 3 points in the bag while I would like to see us win 3 or 4 nil a 1-0 score for us will be fine.Go the Mighty REDS and consolidate our position on top of the E.P.L. :kop5cf8koxp6:

Kind of glad it's a Monday game for a change. Gives Danny and the international lads an extra day.

Mignolet; Wisdom, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique; Lucas, Gerrard; Hendo, Coutinho, Moses; Sturridge.

      Can't really predict anything other than a 1-0. :D

This is the kind of game we need to winning on the back of a win over a top side. We too often down the years beat a utd then loose or draw with a swansea. If were really making progress 3 points here is a must.

Hopefully they have 1 eye on there Europa league game later that week. They are a good football side but can be opened up

You need to have a little more faith. Liverpool are on form. Our defence is solid.

I think the 3 points are there for the taking personally.
