Great to see Rankin get the nod. Excellent in the ODI series.

Don't get to see much when it's Down Under but I'll be following the highlights at reasonable times :D

      11pm tomorrow night - can't F***ing wait!!!

KP's 100th Test as well. I've been critical of Pietersen many times in the past, even suggested that he should be dropped at times but a hundred caps is a F***ing incredible achievement.

Think it'll be a 12am start for you lads (11am first ball will be bowled here), so you'll probably have an hour of pre-game in that.

Also, come on England!!! Hopefully we get off to a good start, I think this will be a ripping series as the Aussie lineup is a lot better than they were in England, and they'll be aided by faster wickets. Should be really good

Not excited yet, but there's nothing better than watching  the first session of a Test series, makes it more mouth watering when it's against you lot.  ;)   xxxxx:action-smiley-065:

In all honesty I am pumped for this series. Can't remember the last time South Africa toured Australia.

Watson was going steady before that poor shot. Shame didn't get Clarke out on the stroke of lunch too

England bowled beautifully to contain Warner and Watson after they got going and the eventual breakthrough was inevitable the way they bowled

Anderson been brilliant as usual, Tremlett looking really down on pace though

From being around 150-6, we should never of let them get near 300 but once again our bowling at the tail isn't clinical enough. We always seem to struggle wrapping any innings up.

Great to see Broady on form. All these Aussies trying to get to him before the series have done their trick, they've lit a fire under him and he's ripping through them. Knock over the last couple of wickets early in the morning and hopefully Cook and Carberry can put on a good opening stand to settle our batting down.

Yeah just like the summer. Can't decide whether England just aren't clinical enough or the Aussie tail is proudly resilient.

And I agree - it's great seeing Broad in great form! Here's one Aussie paper reporting his dismantling of their top order!

       :lmao:

      The idiots never learn.
That's how to get him fired up for the rest of the series.

The onslaught is endless for Broad! They're selling t shirts with 'Never forget, never forgive'. Brisbane Courier Mail called him a 'smug pommie cheat' and listed Broad's 'Seven Deadly Sins'. If that's the deal he gets for not walking in the summer god knows what David Warner got after luckily escaping criminal conviction for a vicious assault on Joe Root in the summer!

All out for just under 300, would of took that when we lost the toss yesterday.

Feel a little for Brad Haddin not getting a much deserved hundred...who the F**k am I kidding. I'm F***ing delighted he missed out on it, just like I was when Agar missed out on it in the Ashes over here in the summer

Well in Broady. F***ing laughing his way to the pavilion while all the Aussie supporters are booing like mad at him. Can't wait to see what reaction he gets when he bats and even more so when they get him out. The reaction to Root will be interesting as well.

Gutted Haddin didn't get the ton.. Had him at 7s yesterday when he was on 30.

Good performance by England so far... Bat well this first innings and this Australia sides heart could be ripped out for the series.

Had a save at 3s on Harris top wicket taker

F**k up by Trott there just prior to lunch, should have delayed the last couple of balls of the previous over but didn't, one more over and Trott tickles down the leg side

      55/2
