He done well on loan at Hull last year and is impressing again. I’m sure Jürgen will be keeping an eye on him, potentially thinking that we won’t need to be in the market for an attacking midfielder if he carries on with this form, lots of potential.

10 goals and 2 assists in 24 games is a great return.

I'd give Wilson a go next season. He could be a solution for midfield without spending big, I could see a new Coutinho in him. Lallana was great 2 years ago but he does not seem to have a future here if even guys like Milner, Henderson or Gini start in front of him.

Don't want to be a dampener here, but based on the discussion I have seen between Derby County fans, it seems he goes missing most parts of the game, but usually makes up with his dead ball skills. I think he is still a long way from becoming a Liverpool player.

Some of the comments mentioned below -

      Quote
Wilson’s goals have masked his general all round performances. He’s a good player with a bright future, don’t get me wrong, but as with many young players he needs to focus on staying in the game and making himself an option. He seems to run behind opposition players and perhaps wants that killer ball rather than creating angles and options for the build up play.

      Quote
His negatives are a lack of physicality (he is eased off the ball in this league) and that he often overlooks the defensive part of his role.

8 of his 11 goals have been from outside the box, more than any other player in the top 4 tiers of English football.

Make that 9 outside the box now. Lashed one into the top corner yesterday, got an assist too.

This lad is playing with real determination it seems, looking forward to seeing him play for us next season if Klopp keeps him. I know we would all like a “Coutinho replacement” signed but maybe, just maybe, this lad could be the answer to that because he has one hell of a shot and a pass on him.

Apparently the deadline to bring him back early has passed so he will see out his loan at Derby. Right move for all involved. He’s happy, settled and playing out of his skin at Derby, its a great environment for him to grow more. As much as I’m looking forward to seeing him back in a Liverpool shirt, playing regularly at Derby and possibly getting them promoted will do more for him long term than what he would realistically get here for the rest of the season.

Screaming out for someone like him who can pull trigger 18-25 yards in fact against Leicester we didn't pull it enough. Be interesting to know how many goals we have scored outside 18 yd box 3 ?

It's probably because they aren't encouraged or instructed  to and the midfield is built to service the front 3

Mixture of this and not having the ability to do it IMO. Coutinho would have plenty of shots from distance because he had the ability to find the net, whilst being there to service the front 3. Ox before he got injured was taking shots from distance. Our style of play hasn’t changed that much in the last year.
For all the hard work Gini, Milner and Hendo put in, their shooting leaves a lot to be desired.
