Yeah, if he's fit, why not give him a 1 year extension, senior player, can cover both flanks.

He's played about 10 games for us since 2017.

I think we can do without him.

Nah you’re alright lid, rather have Williams than a bang average crock that we’ve wanted shot of for the last 3 years.

Shaq is more likely to stay than Wilson IMO. If we don’t sign anyone this summer then it makes no sense to move Shaq on. He’s been injured for most of the season but last season he did deliver at important times. Would make much more sense to keep him than it would Wilson.

Obviously Wilson is a homegrown player as you say but he’s no real benefit for that, the only only homegrown player we are likely to lose is Lallana, because Clyne hasn’t been registered (which is why he’s training on his own at the academy).

Wouldn’t be against Wilson staying if we don’t sign anyone, purely add a bit of depth to the team for the cup games. But I kind of think we will look to sell him next summer instead, hopefully the world will be normal again then and we would likely get more money for him.

Pretty sure shaq is nailed on to go. He cant keep fit enough for the top level. hes been of no use at all this season. Think the fella is a great player, but its obv. his body cant cut it at the top.

If that’s the case then may as well keep Clyne!

Clyne will go for his own reasons, like shaq no use at top level anymore, and needs to be playing more regulary.

Well I was thinking a pay as you play type of deal, just for a bit of added insurance, but we are probably are ok defensively with the youngsters, just LB I'm slightly worried about in terms of cover.

Why do so many people have a hard-on for Wilson? If he was good enough for our team, he wouldn't be constantly loaned out.

All depends, if he's not good enough for the team we could've cashed in, possibly Jürgen thinks he needed experience and if all the money talk's true it could turn out to be a good decision.

We tried to sell him last summer for 20-25mill but nobody would pay it and we could only send him out on loan in the end in the hope he’d have a good season and a team would pay that fee the following year.

I’ve said before, he’s not a youngster anymore. He’s 23 now, an age where if he was going to make it with us or any other top team then he’d have been making much more of an impression than what he has done so far. The only reason there was a bit of hype about him was because he can hit a good free kick, but his overall play is very average. There’s a reason why the Bournemouth fans aren’t overly impressed by him, much like the Derby fans found him incredibly inconsistent.

Had hoped he’d have become a top player for us, he was looking much more likely than Woodburn, who is/was incredibly over hyped, but unfortunately he’s not shown anything to suggest he can make it to the level required with us.

A bit like Bournemouth in general.

Certainly didn’t do himself any favours with regards to his future with us with his distinct lack of effort tracking back. Sadly, that wasn’t a one off for him either. Think that’s the 3rd time he’s been hooked at half time now.
