Free Agents - Summer 2014

Article in the Indy lists the top ten players available on a free this summer. Any of those turn your head? Joe Cole and Evra should be top priorities for us, I'd have thought.

Chamakh has been doing well for Crystal Palace.

Don't see the fuss about Ince.

No he signed a new contract back in Jan or Feb I believe.

To be honest not a big fan of any of them. I would take Valdes for competition but highly unlikely he comes here. Other than that I hate dabbling with free agents, we have had nothing but bad experiences with them lately.

I quite like him too but he is getting on a bit for a full-back. Not sure we'd get much more than a couple of seasons out of him. Certainly can cross a ball and decent recovery pace, always thought he's a fine player.

Always liked Menez, but we should have moved for him when he left Roma.  I think it is easier for younger players to adjust to the Prem than it is for established players.  At this point, I think I'd pass as we can likely find better options than him.

Good defensively as well, bit stagnant at Arsenal because of his niggling injuries, but when fit and consistent he is one really good player

Yea but you have to also have a cow at the stadium to give his head a lick before he goes on the pitch....don't want any cow patties at Anfield.

No room for both Gerrard and Pirlo in our team in my opinion. But Pirlo wants to stay with Juventus and has said he isn't interested in moving abroad so.

you're right. No place for them both. Brenden moved Gerrard to that position because he can prolong his playing on high level, just like Pirlo is playing in Juventus

Tom ince's stock seems to have fallen quickly. He was a regular rumour over the last couple of summers, now nothing. I would have thought he might fit the "Rodgers mould"? Also would be a cheap addition to the squad?
