Bitter blue bas**rds.  Their forums are obsessed with us all year round while we are really only interested on the odd occasion they make fools of themselves ie. moving out of Liverpool to go to some Tesco superstore, nearly get knocked out by some Ukrainian postmen, have to give season tickets away with mobile phones etc etc.

This is the fact of the situation.

Everton are, always were, always will be, in the shadow of Liverpool FC.

They deserve to get a good hiding off us for their '3 shots 3 goals' victory last year.  And the best thing of all is that when we beat them we won't be bringing out a special DVD like it was the World Cup Final.

      Come on you redmen.

      Top post!

It should be a good hiding for them! We're due to get back in form! And we definitley need to get the ball rolling on Saturday, leading into the Arsenal game that follows!

I'll be there, although I'll be wearing my suit! I'll get a good speck in our end, after I've sorted me bars! Get a good chunk of the game in hopefully! (One perk of working in that sh*t-hole! Free derby ticket! ;))

i can sense this is were we return to form and my horoscope said "pay attention to your dreams and thoughts you may well have a premonition about an imminent event and it could well be positive"   i would love to see the scoreline of Everton 0 Liverpool 5 on the screen at the "future anfield carpark".

come on redmen. What they can only dream of, we have achieved.

Don't want to tempt fate but I reckon we are in for a real tough test on Saturday.

Given that the majority of their side will be rested as they lack many international players they could have the advantage.

We go into the game in sh*te form (yes I know we have not lost but we have not won either).

Tesco's is a tough venue so I would just wait until the international is played and assess the fitness of  our players before we predict a stuffing for the blue noses.

My biggest concern continues to be SG... if he is not up for the game - then we are in real trouble.

We need a fit, hungry, angry, talented SG ready for this game (hopefully on an England high, if England beat Russia and he is not injured!).

My team would be (intl injuries permitting - hoping Agger and Xabi back)

                     Reina
      Finnan   Carra   Agger Arbeloa
      Pennant Xabi  Gerrard  Yossi
                  Kuyt Torres

Subs: Crouch, Masch (for Xabi if still injured), Babel, Sami, Itadje

      Prediction: Everton 1 Liverpool 3 (Torres, Kuytx2)

Come on you Reds!! (...so much hanging on SG's state of mind though... that it's scary!)

I agree with donrafael's line-up except for the midfield...Sissoko or Masch to join Gerrard and Riise on the left. That's not the way I want it but that's probably the way it'll go. I would like to see Babel on the left in the first half to see what he can do.

Like I said on another thread, Everton have a way of stepping up to us and producing decent performances and this time, I'm hoping we put them away clinically. The next logical step in our form recovery would have to be a win. Doubt we'll see Xabi in the starting lineup if he's fit.

Cmon you Reds and get my super sporting saturday off to the best possible start...with the world cup final to follow!!!

Nothing but a win is gonna do in this game, if we realistically wanna be title challengers then we need to be picking up wins right from this game.

Going on the assumption that Torres will be out injured id go with this team

I've been slated many times on this forum for not having any optomism so where is yours?

We should be assuming Torres will play as this is his first derby and he'll wanna get his teeth into our dear neighbors for sure.  With that in mind my team prediction is as follows:

      Reina

         Finnan      Carra         Agger              Arbeloa

Pennant             Momo        Gerrard (yes in centre midfield ffs)      Yossi (or Kewell fingers crossed ;) )

                  Torres              Voronin

      Subs: Intaje, Crouch, Riise, Hyypia

I'm f--kin sure after last year’s debacle we can lift ourselves up and deliver a far more convincing performance than we did.
I had to sit there last year with some bluenose b***ard screamin in me face, please never again!
We need to go out there and deal with them severely nothing less is exceptable!!
We are well capable of takin six points off them this season.
Come on lads show us your metal. I can't f***in abide those bitter blue c--ts.

Like EddieC I'll wait until tomorrow before I'll consider any team prediction.

The only thing I am confident of is that no one will match the one Rafa puts out.

Ever the optimist  (which explains my lowly position in the prediction league) I reckon we'll get the three points.

He could help us to get to the Champions League Final.

Really think that if we don't get something from the game on Saturday that our confidence will drop even lower...

Actually think the International break may have done us good this time round! (...I hope!!)
