Deb, try to understand. I compared Moses' first half with Sterling's first half.

Simple. Have a look back in this thread, and you'll see Paul describe Sterling's first half as "average". He wasn't great was he? Much better in the 2nd.

Anyway, that was yesterday. Now I've jumped on the bandwagon and will proclaim that no matter what Moses does, he should go back to Chelsea. 

Sterling has barely turned 19, is still finding his feet and as such will have dips.  Moses has had over 200 professional games to his name, is a full international and contributed 5 European goals in 10 appearances for Chelsea last season he should be keeping Raheem out of the team never mind barely being slightly better over a 45 minute period.

When Moses starts putting in world class performances everytime he gets the chance to play then he'll get the praise that it deserves, until then he's sh**e!

I've not read DanMann's point in regards Moses v Sterling's first half display in the Moses thread. However I'll say this Sterling was poor in the first half, not as poor as Moses (imo worst player in a red shirt during the first 45) but he was poor. His second half display makes some, not all forget his display in the first half of the match.

First half match rating from me Moses 3/10, Sterling 4/10

Overall match rating Moses 3/10 (was unable to improve his scored due to being pulled at ht), Sterling 7.5/10.

Sterling would shade my vote as MOTM, in a game where no player really shone. Biggest note for me was Kelly getting a solid 90 minutes under his belt without being really tested.

Sterling wasn't great but he was better than Moses. Sterling got an assist, never lost the ball and at least had an effort at goal. Moses was that poor he was subbed at half time. To be honest I brought this up in the Moses thread, I'd rather have Assaidi, Suso and Borini back in the squad than Moses. Apart from get a goal on his debut Moses hasn't done jack since, Chavski have bumped us. If he improves then fair enough I'll end my words but up until now he is sh*t haha.

And even if he isn't then his idea of what kind of form is good enough is clearly different than mine.

In fairness, you did say the 1st half alright. But you did say based on the highlights. I don't know what highlights you saw cos the ones I watched on ITV showed no more than 25 seconds of the 1st half!

With regards to this Moses v Sterling debate, just because another player was poor, why should that be seen as an excuse for another player to be poor? One players performance shouldn't have any influence on how another performs...both of them were sh*t (by the sound of things), but we've seen enough previously to suggest which player should be higher in the pecking order.

Had relatively high hopes for Moses when he came in. Think he started OK, scored the odd goal, but his performances have gone steadily downhill since. Think the lad has ability - he's not been at Chelsea, and round the PL in general for a good while now, without having something about him - and with better attitude, work-rate and maybe a bit more ambition, he could be a decent player. Just doesn't look bothered. Pity.
