According to a report on ESPN Luis Garcia has announced his retirement from football. He thanks L.F.C for being part of the REDS FAMILY.I would add that the REDS Family can never thank Luis Garcia enough for that goal he scored against Chelsea to put us through to the Champions League Final in Istanbul in 2005.Enjoy your retirement Luis and thanks for being part of our Liverpool Football Club history : I have put this in the General Football board but his achievement against Chelsea merits it going on the KOP board.

Former Liverpool forward Luis Garcia proved he’s still got it by scoring his first goal for Central Coast Mariners with a cheeky back-heel.

Garcia was snapped up by the Mariners after impressing in a Liverpool legends charity match, dusting off his boots after leaving the Indian Super League where he played for Atlético de Kolkata in 2014.

Having made his debut as a substitute in a 3-1 defeat against league leaders Western Sydney Wanderers last week, the 36-year-old was introduced at half-time again in his second outing for the club.

And, with the Mariners currently bottom of the league and desperate for a win, Garcia stepped up within four minutes of his arrive to score the cheekiest of goals:
