      Tom Ince (Blackpool)

      Are we after him again?

talkSPORT: Ince to hold Reds talks
Liverpool and Cardiff have entered the race to sign Blackpool winger Tom Ince.

The Seasiders have given Ince, who is out of contract at the end of the season, permission to discuss a loan move to a Premier League side and he has already held talks with Swansea City and Crystal Palace.

Now Liverpool, who sold Ince to Blackpool back in 2011 for an undisclosed fee, and Cardiff have registered their interest.

Ince is unsure about a return to Anfield following a lack of first-team opportunities first time around but is expected to hold talks with the Reds in the next 48 hours.

Cardiff officials will also meet with the England Under-21 ace, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hoping to make Ince his seventh signing this month following the arrivals of Norwegian trio Magnus Wolff Eikrem, Mats Moller Daehli and Jo Inge Berget, Stoke striker Kenwyne Jones and Manchester United pair Wilfried Zaha [on loan] and Fabio.

      ClubCall: Liverpool eye former winger
Liverpool have reportedly reignited their interest in former winger Tom Ince, now at Blackpool.

Liverpool have now made an enquiry for Ince, who began his career at Anfield before moving to Blackpool in 2011.

The 21-year-old England youth international is set to leave Bloomfield Road in January or in the summer when his contract expires, although the Seasiders will be due compensation.

Ince met with Swansea on Monday and is set for talks with Crystal Palace on Tuesday, while Hull, Sunderland and French giants Monaco have also been linked.

Liverpool considered a move for Ince in the summer but were seemingly put off by Blackpool's £8.5million asking price.

However, with the winger out of contract in the summer the Championship side have been forced to lower their valuation and the Reds could well move to the front of the queue for his services if they decide to make a formal offer.

Sky Sports: Reds back in for Ince
Liverpool have rejoined the race to sign Thomas Ince, according to Sky sources.

The 21-year-old looks set to leave Blackpool after they gave him permission to open talks with a number of Premier League clubs.

Ince, along with his father Paul, met with Swansea on Monday and he is due to meet Crystal Palace on Tuesday, while Stoke, Hull and Sunderland also want to talk terms.

But now news of Liverpool's renewed interest could see them emerge as favourites.

Ince began his career at Anfield before his move to Blackpool in 2011, where he has risen to prominence as one of the best players outside the Premier League.

Liverpool had looked at landing him last summer, and now they have rekindled their interest following their failure to land Mohamed Salah.

French giants Monaco also remain keen on Ince, who could move to the principality outfit for just a moderate compensation fee at the end of the season.

I really like this guy from what I've seen of him but to be honest I haven't watched him for a while and don't know how he's been doing this season for a struggling Blackpool side. His contract is supposed to be in the final months and his dad being sacked from the manager's post probably doesn't help Blackpool to keep him either.

Not sure about the season but young Ryan, on loan at Barnsley, ran rings round him last weekend Diego.

I think it's quite the opposite of desperation, we actually wanted him for a while but refused to pay the price they were asking back then. Now he's nearing the end of his contract and would come much cheaper.

Not sure if he's interested in coming here or if he'll prefer some other club (there are plenty interested) where he can be a regular starter.

So we've resorted to battling Stoke, Swansea and Cardiff for a Championship player that we couldn't hold on to when he was 18.

We really have become a small club.

I don't think he would leave on loan, it makes no sense if the reports about his contract ending in the summer are true.

We couldn't hold on to him purely because he wanted first team football and obviously he wasn't good enough at the time to start for our first team. Fair play to the lad for dropping down a league and building up a solid reputation for himself.

He is going on loan so that Blackpool get SOMETHING for him as clearly end of road for him there now

They want a loan fee for rest of season with the player obviously negotiationg permanent contract himself afterwards (or at same time)

The thing I don't understand in these stories is : "loan".

We know the player he was here in the past, and he is followed since he left with us being linked with a move every window.
Either we judge him good enough and should buy him, either we don't, and we should know by now. What's the point of loaning him, then having him in the best position to dictate an huge contract if he succeeds to cement a place. Better to buy now (and sell him if he eventually decieve) imo.

Out of that always believed he was going to become a good player, so I'm rather happy if we finally take him again, although he's not really playing in one position we need the most.
But it's still a nightmare to imagine us going into second half of the season with no full back and no DM recruit

That doesn't make sense mate.  He's out of contract in the summer so has the right now to find a new Club.  It's a very important move for him so he needs to know what's on offer.

when we look at our defense and central midfield we seem to have a different view than either Brendan or the committee. Why do we need any attacking players ,we already have some on loan .We cannot keep a clean sheet for trying so how would Ince improve  on that FFS.

Another player we do not need at the moment to push for top 4.

I guess attack is the best form of defensive for Rodgers :/

Agree he is not the central player or the full back we need so desperatlely but he is a decent prospect so I've got no problem if he comes in just so long as the other areas are addressed.

Besides he would be an upgrade on Aspas and Moses as far as I an see.
