Transfer deadline day January 2014 (and other clubs)
      Jan 31, 2014 09:37:34 am
Thought it'd be ideal to create a thread dedicated the the transfer deadline day also concerning other clubs.

Am looking forward to us landing Konoplyanka. United are in for Tony Kroos and Arsenal are in for Draxler. Hope any potential deal falls through for them. Tottenham and Everton seem quiet thus far - only good news for us!

Kroos and Draxler won't happen this window.

City look to be bringing in the two from Porto

In a supposed £35m deal tool. Surely they are in violation of the FFP rule if true?

Pretty sure the losses they made over the past 3 years already violated it

FFP is a farce anyway.. It won't be enforced.

But they will find ways to hide losses like with their shirt/stadium deals..

They'll just get some hilarious "sponsorship" deal from a company they own anyway, paying £200m for the rights to sponsor their cutlery in the canteen or something.

Or even more hilariously, a dividend of, say £25m from one of their feeder clubs in the US, maybe some women's team they "own", for "intellectual rights". So they're paying themselves money for something they don't have to properly disclose.

One of the above is actually true.

Not the ideal cover for Falcao but still.. From EPL relegation candidates to French Title contenders!! Some move, I say

Berbatov apparently off to AS Monaco now. Makes sense with the Falcao injury.

What Doesn't make sense to me - why loan Traore out in same window as buying him? especially when Falcao gets injured (Negotiations to loan started before injury but finished afterwards so Monaco could've pulled out).

      Weird

Osvaldo in Turin. 5th striker in their squad. Surely Vucinic & Quagliarella are off! May be Giovinco too

Yeah didn't understand that one myself. Could have something to do with Traore's injury.

Holtby already training with Fulham. Donn't think they have comfirmed the transfer yet have they?

Also talk that Kalou could be going to Arsenal now as well as Kallstrom.

Something to do with him being a non EU and them already having their quota of non EU's maxed out.

Holty has been badly mismanaged I think at Spurs as has so many of their recent signings. I wouldn't go near them of I was a young prospect with a few options on the table

FFP is a percentage of income over three years, not a cap on transfer fees.

Sunderland have also signed Liam Bridcutt from Brighton.

For those who were intersted in Hernanes, it seems he is 'definitely' leaving for Inter Milan. BBC's John Bennet reports "Brazil international Hernanes has told an Italian radio station that he is definitely joining Inter Milan from Lazio."
