I think our centre has looked better since Gerrard's been deployed there - defensively or otherwise.

Funny how people see things differently.

I see it 2 ways;

It looks a lot better when we play deeper.

When we play a high line as we did against fulham, it looks vulnerable. Of course the flip side to this is that we are much more attacking and pushing the opposition back, but we are very, very open to counter attacks.

It's all opinions mate and we're entitled to have them. If you look above this post you'll see some people make my post look like I'm praising the lads up! I would say to you though that we needed two late goals to beat the team which is rooted to the bottom of the league and we struggled like f*ck to get them, so I personally think we can play far better hence the marks.

Agreed I respect your opinion. Yes was definitely not our best game and we will most definitely improve. Just thought you were a bit harsh on Flanno, Coutinho and Tex.

We were dreadful and managed to win , for far too long we have been lacking that come back fight .
And while Wenger , Mourinho and Pelligrini slag each other off we'll creep up along and steal the title from under their noses .Maybe the Prophet was right .

Well I'm still buzzing.  Been away for 2 days working and there's loads of LFC fans to chat to about it and they're still buzzing too.

I've seen a couple of posts about Luis getting everyone back to the centre spot after the 2nd goal but I thought it was Stevie who intimated to get the ball and everyone back.  I've not watched the match since so can't say for definite but that's how I saw it as it happened.

Tex for his debut was really good.  Yes he made the odd mistake but he's 21, making his debut in a huge game, coming on when we were drawing and needing a win and he didn't seem fazed at all.  Well done young man.

The Rene situation reminds me so much of when QPR brought in Julio Cesar.

QPR signed Rob Green as their starting goalkeeper (Fulham brought in Rene to help kick start their survival bid)

QPR then found out that Julio Cesar was available and signed him - whilst paying him top dollar (Fulham have found out that this foreign manager is available to be brought in and has a good track record of helping teams survive the drop)

Both situations left their first choice absolutely nowhere.

word on the street is that after he left manutd.. he was able to flaunt his 'achievements' and was able to convince fulham to hire him on.
