A win Sunday, with Swansea playing in the dreaded Europa League, is the only result possible as the Reds march on towards either the top spot or a Champion's league place.

Think the best Johnson can hope for is to come off the bench, but you never know!  Ithink this is the team that Brendan will pick :-

                                  Mignolet

      Flanagan         Skrtel        Agger      Cissokho

                  Gerrard        Henderson
                        Coutinho

      Stirling            Sturridge               Suarez

I would prefer Suarez and Sturridge playing together rather than Suarez playing wide, but until Enrique or Johnson comes back I think we may have to suffer.

If we can avoid getting over-run in midfield we should win this comfortably, I think we will win this one 3-1 with Sturridge making up for his misses against Arsenal by grabbing a hat-trick.

We need to come to an arrangement where Suarez can be accommodated centrally. He's been excellent on the wing these past few games but is so much more dangerous playing through the middle(I know, I'm a clairvoyant who sees all) and I think him not scoring in the past few games has more to do with his role in the team than any scoring form

They could well be tired after the Europa League game.
Given our tendency to attack from the off we could capitalise on that.

Want only two things from this game, a win and a clean sheet.

Got to think that the latter would lead to the former.

Supposedly they outplayed Napoli, I didn't see it but that canwork two ways - tire them out or give them confidence. Hopefully the former.

I think they did outplay napoli to an extent, but they were really charged up and undoubtedly knackered by the end.

I think our fortunes this weekend depend on which swansea turn up.
They have a tendency to really be up for the big games.

They certainly did out play them in all fairness. Stats back that claim up too:

      Shots on target: Swansea - 8; Napoli - 1
      Shots off target: Swansea - 10; Napoli - 6
      Corners: Swansea - 8; Napoli - 3
      Pass rate: Swansea - 89%; Napoli - 71.24%
      Possession: Swansea - 69.2%; Napoli - 30.8%

In fairness Swansea are a decent team at Home, and on the biggest night in their history with a massively raucous support I'm not in the least bit surprised they outplayed Napoli. Probably less concerned even than I am surprised is Napoli's manager, and no doubt like him I would expect the Italian side to comfortably take care of Swansea in the second leg. It is a good result for Napoli, regardless of how Swansea played.

For us it ain't a bad result too. Swansea are still in it and as much as they'll try not to be, their minds will still be on it. Providing we don't take liberties (see what I did there) with Bony who is a good player IMHO, we ought to win with a bit in hand.

There's no gimmes, but with these boys playing in Italy next week, you have to think their minds will be on that, as well as feeling the effects from their efforts in the 1st leg.

We've had a good rest and will want to put right that poxy defeat against the Arse. Thinking back to that game, disappointing to see Sturridge missing a handful of chances, hope to see him back to clinical best.  Also hoping Luis can get back on the sheet, and that Agger remains in the center alongside Marty.

Can only see one result.  4-0 to the reds :)

Don't think this will be as easy as a lot of people think. Since Laudrup left, they seem to be playing better. Having said that, can see Louis scoring and a tight win.

We deffo need 3 points any which way we can, onwards and upwards Redmen.

Bit worried about this one to be honest.  Don't see how we're going to win it without Lucas.

Come to think of it, I don't think we'll ever win a game without Lucas.

Lucas ain't been great this season. We beat Arsenal at Anfield without Lucas. Just be confident that we can win this. Would you be interested to know Swansea have not won away in the league since November against Fulham?  28 points from 26....or are you basing this on a home game v Napoli which is in a totally different cup? My prediction is 3-1 to Liverpool.

oh dear.  some here are quite slow on the uptake.

The point is that we twatted Everton and Arsenal without Lucas, won a gritty game at Fulham without Lucas, and the case is now closed that he is totally irrelevant.

Whether we win, lose, or draw against Swansea, it will have nothing to do with Lucas.
