I misses Aldo on radio City tonight nobody want this title more than him

I think our Captain would have something to say about that mate.

For anybody who didn't see here's the Stevie and Luis interview after the game:

Does anyone need convincing that we can actually win this.
Come on FFS after today nobody will want to play us at Anfield let alone away because they need to score 4 goals to get a F***ing draw.

We still need lots of things to go for us, and not too many against.

It's not quite the "perfect storm" I spoke of earlier in the season, but so much is out of our hands.

Saying that, with all the things that have gone FOR us this season, including a lot of results for the other teams (losses and draws), we could pinch it.

      I want it so bad.

Very interesting stat that; Sturridge and Suarez scoring more than Dalglish and Rush.

Longevity and service though will determine in no small part who was the best in the end. And in that respect, so far it's men against boys. Still, oh to be proven wrong!

you have to remember who Kenny and Rushie had around them and as much as we are being positive tonight they had the luxury of some of the best midfielders in the world Souness,Barnes,Molby, whelan etc so I would say that Luis and Daniel are capable of surpassing them all in their achievements

What a huge game that was. And here was me thinking the second half was going to be as hard as the first.

Southampton play some really nice football. Deserve loads of credit. We couldn't get the ball off them for a good 20 minutes after we scored the first. But what genuine great sides with excellent winning mentality do, is come out in the second half and drill harder, play stronger and have more desire to win. We done that with great swagger today.

The job Rodgers is doing in improving a winning mentality back at our great club is nothing short of perfection. Not to mention how much better football we play. Testament to the a very good back room team and everyone involved with the club.

We haven't won anything, yet. We carry on what we're doing though and that won't last for long!!

      Come on you mighty reds!!!!!

      Great post Billy.

We're in it, and it could be ours especially with City and Chelsea to come to us.

Those games are going to be seismic - Anfield will be rockin.

As for the other thing, you'll see it off.  All the best to you.

I agree with you Walton, all the players from the fullbacks to the forwards were expected to score goals as well as provide them. Back to the match 3-0  was a fantastic result as Southampton played really well in the first half after Luis Suarez scored his goal. A good result and 3 points in the bag, well done to our lads.

I look at the fixtures and the optimist in me sees 10 wins.

Or, to put it another way, if we win all our games, the title is ours, because I expect chelsea to lose at our place and drop another couple of points as well.
      The same goes for city.

F***ing hell, it was only a couple of months ago after undeserved losses against city and chelsea that some on here were saying the wheels had come off.

      We can do it.
And if we do, BR is an instant legend.

I think the great thing Brendan is doing is allowing the players to play.He is not over complicating things and it is telling in everygame.
Let me put it this way who would bet against us.

Why does Pochettino not speak English yet?

I find it a little bit odd that after 12 months he still does not even attempt to give an interview in English.

I'd fancy Arsenal to get a draw from Chelsea and spurs or bs to beat arsenal , City are a different scenario with 2 games in hand it could go any way , but none of it will matter if we don't keep winning .

Of all the things we achieved today, against a really good footballing side, I am absolutely delighted with the clean sheet. It seems like forever now that the conversation has been about our defence and its inability to prevent the opposition from scoring. Really hope after todays result that this brings a huge boost to the guys at the back because with the guys at the front proving to be the best in this league by a country mile, if we can keep the opposition at bay, I can only see the title race going our way.  YNWA

      Yep, agreed.

I think our fate is in our hands.
I also thought with 12 games to go we needed 30 points from them to be in with a shout.

      6 down.

goes without saying, we will always score goals throughout the season. There may be a few occasions when we don't, but from here on in, it has to be every game. Chelsea and city won't drop too many points, but with the three they drop at Anfield, the other odd one or two could swing the title our way.
I'm not getting over excited about the title as I think either our defence or midfield still have something about them that makes me cautious.
Get nervous as F**k before every game, and never convinced we are gonna win until it's over, but that's just me. I'd love nothing more than for us to win it, it would put me on cloud 9.
If we don't, so what, we can strengthen in the summer, and we'll still score shed loads of goals next season, but hopefully with a stronger midfield and or defence.
Never say never, and as long as we  are in touch, and we certainly are at the mo, we have a chance.
Not 100% convinced yet, but hoping and praying every minute of every day.
